Worst Anime ever?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the entire "eechi" or "perverted" genre of anime is the worst of all time. What person in their right mind would watch a show without an iteresting and original plot, no characters with interesting personas that viewers can identify with, and EXTREMELY overused lines and dialog(i.e. desu, Ill give it my all!, and thats horrible...)

As to answer the question: Evangelion, I don't give how mediocre the first part is, the last 2 episodes ruined that for me, then the movie slaughtered whatever was left that was good about the original series.
Martian Successor Nadesico has to be my pick for worst Anime ever.
I enjoy most all anime I watch, even the ones most people can't stand, but with this series I could only watch the first 4 episodes of before I gave up and moved on to the next anime (The Twelve Kingdoms which I highly recommend).
It was colour by numbers in terms of the character types, which is fine because a lot of anime is like that. But the degree to which these character types expressed themselves was off putting, any half decent anime will have some subtlety to its characters personalities.
The last straw for me was when the only other mecha pilot, apart from the main character, was killed off three or so episodes in so he could be replaced with three female OMG Bewbz pilots the main character could sortie with.
Maybe I was wrong and after 3 or 4 episodes it starts to get really good, but If I had to suffer even one more episode of that god awfulness for that to happen then I?m happy with my decision.

I was assuming people just found it too over-the-top weird, which I can definitely understand. I don't mind the show much myself (any show that can consistently make me say, literally, "WTF?" every five minutes is still worth watching), and it's one of the few anime adaptations I prefer over the original manga. Still far from the worst anime ever...but then, few have actually responded to the thread title anyway. If they were, anyone saying Naruto would be completely wrong (there's far worse out there).

In its defense, it's like that because Men and Women lived in different planets (quite literally) in that anime. As such, it's probably the most primed Rule 34 anime out there.DrDeath3191 said:

Oops, I meant that it is primed for a lot of fanfic (rule 34ish or not), since you can pair anyone up with anyone in that anime.DrDeath3191 said:

Also, from what I know the plot's pretty decent in the original (aside from being about a children's card game, of course). And it gave us the abridged series, which proves it's not all bad.
I second that... it's a common thing in Yaoi to have bland, uninteresting, unlikeable characters. I've only read one Yaoi manga that had interesting characters. :\DuncanRR said:
