Todays cartoons have nothing on what the last generation grew up on... Ren and Stimpy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Rockos modern life are all awesome.

Kim Possible is shit.

Anyone else miss Angry Beavers?

And for that matter, AHHH! Real Monsters!
Yes, the old Nickelodeon stuff kicked ass, original Rugrats was awesome, and there was another one that I can't remember now....

Why do people keep bashing Ed, Edd and Eddy? I thought that show was hillarious. Mind you I was tiny when it came out...

Oh, the new Pokemon series(es) are pretty awful, it's the same formulaic shit with annoying squeaky-voiced english actors (as it was before) but it just seems to be getting steadily crappier. Inuyasha I never understood either. They spend an entire series trying to kill some guy and they get so badly sidetracked that, in the last episode, they vow to go off and kill the same guy. Wtf?

This was cool.

This is not.

Angry Beavers, Dexter's Laboratory, and Ed, Edd and Eddy were also awesome.

Phineas and Ferb, don't judge me till you've seen a few episodes.
Yes. I actually really like Phineas and Ferb. The only good thing disney has done...for a long time.
Someone mentioned Batman: The Brave and the Bold. That show rocks.
Pretty much everything else sucks. Especially since Toonami was canceled.

Yeah what happened to nicelodean? It used to be great now it's.....definately not great.
First off, it's Nickelodeon (ahhh, inner Spelling Nazi is satisfied). And to answer your question: The Jonas Brothers Happened. And Miley Cyrus. The people over at Nick saw them appeal to their target demographic. Feeling threatened, the execs said: If it works for them, it will work for us, right?

I miss Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers and Action League NOW!!!! (Even if that last one wasn't exactly a cartoon). There goes my childhood again.

Basically anything broadcasted on Smile of a Child [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smile_of_a_Child]. I have seen some preety bad cartoons both when I was little and now that I am an adult and sometimes watch cartoons with my nephew. However, not even the the worst mainstream cartoons can compare to the horrifying sensation I felt when I encountered this program on our satellite television.

Some of the modern cartoons are preety bad, though. That spy girl cartoon, for example, reeks of stereotypes.

WHY HAS NO BODY SAID NARUTO! (for me it counts) BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS NINJAS WHERE BRIGHT ORANGE!
Before I say it I should let you know I'm not a nurato fan, but a ninja wearing an orange jacket is a lot harder to pick out of a crowd then a ninja wearing a gi.

Any of the weird stuff on Adult swim. Some of it is normal, (I'm not fond of it), but some of it seriously looks as if someone was on acid the whole time they were making it.

In my opinion, The Super Mario Brothers Super Show is the worst cartoon ever made. Sure most of the video game shows from it's time period where bad, but the Super Show was the cream of the crap crop.

I love nearbout all cartoons. I can't think of any short of like Nick Jr. stuff that I downright hate.
I'd like to retract this statement because there's one exception. The old Captain N cartoon was utter hell. What they did to Simon Belmont is UNFORGIVABLE!!

Lets see..... I haven't ventured into the dark depths of Disney Channel, and have barely had any updates on Nickelodeon... sooo

1) Spongebob. It will NEVER be funny to me, especially after seeing some picture of him in an advertisement as a diabetic. "Surrounded by water and still thirsty" Euugh.. *shudder*

2) The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. Need I say anymore?

3) 6teen. What kind of faggotry is this?!? Last time I knew, 6teen was a barbie doll brand.

4) Johnny Test. F***ing Johnny Testicular cancer is what it's givin me.

Finally..
5) George of the Jungle. Yes, it's discontinued.. for now.. But the re-runs still bug me.

God I miss the old cartoons. I used to keep my t.v. on the other nick channel (cant remember it's name) all the time because they were the only ones who would play Ren & Stimpy, Angry Beavers, and Rocko's Modern Life. Also, Chowder is pretty decent in my book.

EDIT: A lot of the Adult Swim shows are the worst.. Can't get any more mindfucking than Tim & Eric..

I really hated (and still continue to hate) Drawn Together. I know it's not along the lines of cartoon network daytime shows, but still. I instantly deduct 10 points from people who like that show as well.
I always liked Drawn Together - it was just plain funny. Of course it was racist and sexist and ageist and every kind of -ist, but I found it funny, it pretty much makes fun of everything it could. Only lasted three seasons before they axed it anyway. If you don't mind me asking:

How cumz yo duntt lik it, yo?

Plus, why do so many people hate Spongebob? I agree that the new episodes are awful, but the first season was brilliant. Reminded me of Ren and Stimpy. Speaking of which, there are new Ren and Stimpy episodes on SpikeTV - and those are absolutely terrible. I was happier with the slightly subtle hints that the two were gay, now they have sex in front of my eyes. That just destroys my childhood.
The main problem that I had with Drawn together was that it put sterotypical characters from all of the main cartoon generes together and used a single, cliche, "grotesque" way of portraying those characters. The main point of the show was that the "reality" (Using quotes makes me feel like a snob, but I am using them in here as puns) of what life for these characters, which ranged from the very modern to the very gothic - i.e. superman, would be like if you put them all together. And, it did this all in a way that what I would consider that an unenlightened executive staff would probably find profitable. Shows like "Family Guy" and even the "Simpsons" do use vulgarity but, they do not rely on it. I am also not saying that these two later shows are the best animated shows out there today but, when describing them, their critics call into question the "Fart" matter when describing the shows faults and lump the viewers into a demographic which will all shamlesly dedicate their viewing hours to.

P.S. I like spongebob!

Anything produced in the last few years that looks like it has a higher budget than the clangers...everytime I flick onto something like that I shudder...
