Worst Cliffhangers

What are the worst cliffhangers in media, either for their placement or for what they revealed? My vote goes to the second Matrix movie for both reasons. Seriously, Wachowski Bros?

Half Life 2:Episode 2, but only because it's killing me to wait & see what happens next.

Um... I love cliffhangers. I think they're great both to get an audience enthralled in your overall story and to build hype for a part two. There should be some sort of conclusion, but revealing a big "OMGWTF" moment right afterwards is actually really fun and can be exciting. It's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to Assassin's Creed 2 so much. I wanna see what happens next.

Agreed. What a cliffhangar, and a 100% guarantee that 98% of people that finished ep2 will buy ep3. If it ever comes out.

Halo 2 had the worst cliffhanger that I can think of. Generally I like cliffhangers and I think they're a lot of fun, but Halo 2 ended mid-story. There was no resolution before the cliffhanger.

Lost, season 5 finale. If you've seen it, you know what I mean.

Firefly. Not so much a cliffhanger as I am saddened that it will never, ever come back.

Yeah I've heard that too, but I haven't heard any new info on that in quite a while so I'm not holding my breath. Besides I still consider that the worsts cliffhanger ever 'cause at the time there was no plans to continue it, they were perfectly happy to leave us all hanging.

I would have to say the next to last episode of Death Note. It's an epic countdown to the major ending point but stops before you find out what happens.
