Worst Cliffhangers

Half Life 2:Episode 2, but only because it's killing me to wait & see what happens next.

Agree. That ending was shocking and, to make things worst, no details on episode 3 for at least 3 years. Way to hype out expectations and then throwing it to the freezer, Valve...

Another examples include God of War 2, Resistance 2 and Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction. But at least the last one had some conclusion, which didn't felt so cheap.

I'll agree with Halo 2 and Half Life 2 Episode 2... Halo 2 though actually pissed me off cuz it actually made you eager and ready for more ass kicking, so I grabbed my controller and got ready for it... only to have credits roll before my eyes... I cursed Bungie so much that night I completed Halo 2... Half-Life 2 E2 I sort of expected it to end so I wasn't quite as annoyed as i was with Halo 2.

I can't really think of any movie, game or tv-series that hasn't already been said so I'm picking what came out on top of my head when I saw the "worst cliffhanger" title:

The manga "PhD: Phantasy Degree"

it seems book 10 is the last one to come out and the story is far from over and that's a bit annoying but what really takes the price is the freaking cliffhanger at the end of book 10. On almost the last page of the book we get to see glimpses of the future and what will come, which leaves you with a truckload of ????? and full of excitement and then it stops. Now I can't even find out if there ever will be any more books or if this is the end of the line, which makes everything even more annoying. This makes it one of my worst cliffhangers I've ever had to experience.
So that's my 2 cents, sorry to bore you with so much text.

Firefly. Not so much a cliffhanger as I am saddened that it will never, ever come back.

Oh, you never know.
I don't know how contracts work or whatnot, but Joss Whedon or someone else might pick the ball back up.
But if/when they do, it better be the same actors :/

One of the reasons i stopped watching LOST was because every episode they'd give you more questions without giving you any answers.
I ending up watching it not because i wanted to, but because i wanted to get answers, but they never gave any, so i stopped watching.

i would say F.E.A.R. the first one just because the game freaked me out anyway and the thing that topped it all off was the part in the chopper when the woman looks at you and goes " i wonder what happend to Alma" and her and the guy look at you as Alma herself hauls herself up on the side of the chopper and looks up at you at that point i was screaming "HOLY F****** S*** KICK HER OFF KICK HER OFF GET HER THE F*** AWAY FROM ME GOD DAMN IT"

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that. The sequel hook for the sequel that probably will never be. ...I hope. Please tell me they'll never make a sequel to that horrible movie.
