Worst ending in a game.

Kotor 2.... It's so bad I don't even want to explain, man... UGH.

While I'll freely admit that ending was an insult to all life currently living on this planet I also feel obligated to tell you that there is a mod that puts all of the cut content back in and makes the game so much better.
OT: Prince of Persia reboot, Oblivion, Fallout 3 originally had a bad ending, Fable 2 and Fable 3 and Of course KoTOR 2.
Edit: Oh and I forgot Bloodwings: Pumpkinhead's Revenge! Wow that was fucking terrible. Seriously look it up on youtube or better yet go to Spoony's website.

I don't really finish many games, so I don't have much to choose from. The first Assassin's Creed... I can't actually remember how that ended. AC2 didn't really end properly at all, whereas AC:B made me openly shout "hang on, no wait WHAT WHY DID YOU DO THAT" at the screen... not so much a bad ending but it annoyed me for some reason.

Zaitsev doesn't really get killed and is working for an unnamed puppet master. Hillary Clinton shoots herself and there's probably a war between Russia and the US. So.. you stopped the WMD, but you didn't really accomplish that much. And there are no plans for a sequel. What the fuck.

I think what bothered me was that it didn't have to be that way. They had you on what would have made a really cool last level, and ending it where they did just made it feel unfinished.

The Assassins Creed games have great endings...I'm amazed at the number of people that seem to think a very good, well done cliff-hanger is a bad ending...

OT: Mass Effect 2 - No context, a stupid end decision and if you answer the questions the right way the situation is as exactly as the original game ends with absolutely nothing changing...

The final boss in Mass Effect 2 was bad. I loved the game, and I liked the ending with the one exception of that boss, it's so out of place in the game that I busted out laughing.

Most dissapointing for me would be Indigo Prohecy's entire last half of the game. You're moving along thinkingthat this is a cool thriller, and then it all goes to insane. Two characters who just met are sleeping with each other, an ancient mystical cult has appeared, there's some nonsense about a child of destiny, and artifical intelligence and then boom. Game over. It's like the writers started worshipping Cthulu halfway through.

Divinity II

Everything you did, either for good or for evil was orchestrated in its entirety by the bad guy. And then you get to spend eternity frozen in time alongside everyone else that was there before you doing exactly the same thing. And also failing.

Probably the most awesome cliffhanger in the world. There is an addon that continues the story and Divine Divinity 3 is also in pre-production. Sorry, you are wrong. The end of Divine Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis is just brilliant.

Yeah people fall into two camps on that one. I don't care enough about the game to fork out for the add-on to improve the game's ending though.

Desmond had mostly been trained and Ezio's story (that particular one anyway) was finished. I don't see how much more proper you can get.

Fable 2, Then Fable 3...

Haven't tryed Fable 1... But beacuse of the latter two Im assumeing they do that same skip around the final boss fight....

And the whole shadow possesing your meantor in Fable 3 wasn't close to a boss fight... You should have been able to kill him, THEN fight the actual beast

Fable 1 actually had a decent boss fight (and a mini boss fight earlier in the game involving a kraken).
I don't know what happened to Fable, but the boss confrontation at the end of 2 was just pathetic. I haven't bothered to play 3.

Remember, the original game is always the best in any franchise.

Worst Game ending, has to be for Halo 2, it gave me no closure and I didn't even consider buying Halo 3 because of how it ended.

FarCry 2 has the SHITTIEST ending ever. I would have never kept getting malaria pills if I knew i just had to off myself.

I thought that the ending suited the game. And I don't see many other endings would have worked as well.
