Worst Fan Base Out There

As much as I love the Brony community, the obnoxious, vocal minority makes us look like dicks. The vast majority of us aren't, it's just people who proclaim it at every turn.

The most ill-mannered, annoying group of fans out there are those people who are fans of soccer. Doesn't matter which team. All of them are like this when it comes to it.

People who use are fans of red coloured text are the most annoying fan base. (Really, why use a light colour on a light colour? You're killing me here)

Seriously though, soccer? Well over half my friends are fans of soccer, and none of them are ill mannared, nor annoying. That's a fairly incredible generalisation.

I'd say dreamtheater fans are quite annoying. I know they are a good band, I know they are talented musicians, but that doesn't give you a license to run around interjecting dreamtheater into conversations with the most tenuous of links.

I'm going to have to say Nintendo, or more specifically Mario.
I was in an argument with a classmate of mine who said that Mario Galaxy 2 deserves an 10/10 on every website. My argument was that the story was overused, and the gameplay was basically ripped from the first one, and that a 10/10 means that it is perfect in every way

Do you have the same classmate as me?

going to have to agree here I love mario platforming games infact I grew up on banjo and Dk64 and mario 64 all those great titles but mario's games have remained exactly the same since 64 infact they took a chance with the cube version and people just flamed. Both galaxy games offered the exact same game play with less variety in levels to its 64 counter part

also ps3 fans I have grown tired of being flamed for playing a box

Anywho...I'm gonna go with Bronies on this one. Not all of them, just the ones who seem determined to make every thread on these forums about ponies. I mean, there's no images out there with the caption "This thread is about Dr. Who now" or "This thread is about Call of Duty now". In fact the ONLY thing with an image like that is Ponies.

Why is that? Seriously, just...think about that for a second.

EDIT: Oh! Oh! And Portal fans!! Seriously guys, if you love the game so much, then STOP BEATING IT TO DEATH.

Some of these fanbases listed aren't actually all that bad.
Halo, for instance; criticism of the game is more often than not met with "... don't play it then".

I wouldn't say the Rift fanbase is the absolute worst, but they're pretty bad. Pointing out similarities between it and WoW, for instance, means you probably have a flame wish.

So... I'd have to say Witcher 2 fans. They managed to change my opinion of the game from lukewarm to mild disgust.

My theory is that those people were just starved for unintuitive single player RPGs that replace challenge with not instructing the player about mechanics. So when Witcher 2 came out they went a bit nuts and started jumping down the throats of anyone who said it was less than totally awesome.

In gaming terms, JRPG fans by a wide margin. Every time I get even remotely interested in the genre, the sheer level of obnoxious behavior by the fans pushes me away once more.

Honorable mention goes to PC elitists. I should know, I was once one of them.

I'd say footballfans (soccer). They see all the flaws the game have (diving, for example) but when you start talking about making changes to the game that might get rid of the cheating (and make for more entertaining matches) they nearly piss themselves out of anxiety.

I am a fan of sports and video games alike, but I hate it when somebody suggests something obvious about soccer. We all know. We're just sick of hearing it by now. The sport is not going to change. It's been around way too long.

If so then those that all ***** about 4chan as if they've all been there when the majority of crap they say is soley relevant /b/ or just completely wrong I think the worst of them are the tubmlr users that hate 4chan because of /b/ especially the really stupid ones example of this that I remember from some random on tmublr is this: "lets all go to 4chan, make accounts and spam porn to see how they like it" I would like to award her all the ignorance points ever. As for the rest of you do you actually have a problem with 4chan if so why? Also make sure you make the difference between staing if it's actually 4chan or just /b/.

The Fallout fanbase is in a state of constant war that has little hope of changing, ironically enough. You either have the veteran fans who insult Bethesda for committing the cardinal sin of making a first-person, semi-real time game, or you have the people who dismiss the older games out of hand simply because they're old. The veteran fans are worse, in my opinion, probably because they've been engaging in flame wars for ten years now and they've gotten really good at it.

I always feel bad that i came in to Fallout when it turned into an FPS and i know for a fact right now i could go up to Best Buy and get both 1 and 2 for a total of 20 bucks but i am too afraid that i wont like the games. Does that make sense?

I'm going to say the MLP fans, not because I "hate" the show or anything, I don't like it but all the people I've across when I say that I don't like it, almost flip about how amazing it is despite being a kids show, "The animation is great and its funny and your just really insecure" etc etc

Not all the fan base is bad, but just look at the comments for any negative review of this movie and you'll see where I'm coming from.

Sonic fans. They are literally unpleasable, and I'm positive that sonic fans (deep down) hate Sonic.

It's a kids game, stop trying to force people to play it like we're all 30 year olds with nothing better to do than beating other 30 year olds on a game for bloody 7 year olds.

You realize that nobody forces you to take part in the competitive aspect of the games, right?

Football hooligans, christ! These guys have to be the most annoying assholes in existence. Not only do they take the sport way too seriously. They feel the need to wreck shit up in the streets if their team lost even a single match. I admit I do get disappointed when one of my favorite teams loses but I don't go cause riots in the streets. I generally just hate the pricks that take football too seriously.

Valve fanboys, specifically the Half-Life ones. Look, I loved Half-Life 2 and it's up there on one of my favorite games list but dear lord it's not the second coming of christ as you guys make it out to be.
