League of Legends.

Like, it's cool if you typically build AP Ezreal, but there's no need to call me a fag if I tell you that AP Ezreal isn't good.

Twilight. They can't spell or grammar check worth a damn and neither can the idiot who wrote the book.

Justin Bieber. I've gone deaf from standing near any of his fans when the name is mentioned. I cannot wait for him to hit puberty and/or discover drugs. It's gonna be a fun crash and burn to watch.

Before I say it, this is not me painting everyone with the same brush. This is me saying the fan base I find to contain the worst/most annoying people is...

anime fans.

And my reasoning is this. Several years ago I enjoyed some anime shows. Not a lot. I was only starting to get into it. Then I met other fans of it and they were amongst the rudest, loudest and most arrogant people I have ever met. This extended online as well. They are the only fan base, who have actually managed to put me off something I was once interested in.

I would have to say the Portal fanbase, just because they are so damn annoying.

"Hur hur hur, the cake is a lie. TEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEH!" We get it already.
This is why I've been permanently turned off of Valve. I don't want to hear about your cake, your Companion Cube, your cumbustible lemons, your sandvich, your hats, your spy, your ANYTHING.

This is just my opinion but I would have to say religion has by far the worst fanbase. there always trying to convert you, waging holy wars,or debating who the true savior of the human race is. if you ask me, which your probably not, there making to big a deal about a structure to base your morals on.

Whoever said fan bashers, I agree with you. I always hate it when I talk about how much I love Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and some old-school PC gamer comes in and is like "Eh, they suck compared to the originals." Thank you for disregarding my opinion and substituting your own. I'm sorry my tastes are different, that I like having FPS in my post-apocalyptic RPG. The same thing for Square Enix haters: JRPGs are sort of a niche game. Again, I'm sorry that you don't like them, but that doesn't mean you need to go out and tell all the fans how much they suck. I mean, it's not like JRPG fans are determining political policy or starting riots. You do not need to be the Fan Punisher.

Sonic the Hedgehog. I don't think I even need to explain this one. Does anybody truly not know why?

As much as I don't want to say it.....COD fanboys :p, but I don't mena people who simply like the game because there is nothing wrong with that. I just hate those "quick scoping" D bags. Go into any search and destroy game while in game chat and use a ump-45, I promise some dickhead will call you a "try hard".

If your talking about video games only, PC gamers. They insist their community is "pure" of console brats and brag about it like a frat boy who just got laid.

If in general, Christians. You are not oppressed, you are just people that think you know what everything is.

Portal's fanbase. I hate it when I say I hated the first game, only to get a million replies saying something along the lines of "Lulz, wat? no, u juts craid becoz da cc deied."
I'm guessing that has something to do with the bloody Companion Cube. News for you: It's a bloody inanimate box! Sorry about that, just got a bit annoyed.

Not sure if this is a fanbase exactly, but I'd say the people who rage about whether the Xbox 360 or PS3 is better. That and the CoD fanbase. For every decent person you find, there are five immature, annoying, (Yahtzee quote!) hooting dickholes.

Special mention goes out to the Twilight fanbase though. It would be understandable if there was one good thing about it, but there isn't. It's just all bad, all the time.

Montreal Canadiens or Vancouver Canucks fans. All you people citing video game fans...I've yet to see a riot over video games (maybe a trampling or two on Black Friday, but nothing like this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihAx8WyXS9o&feature=related])
Me thinks you win. Yikes!
I was watching that on the news. My favorite part was the mass looting.

One chick comes out of a broken into fashion store and say, on camera "I've wanted this purse for a while now!"

The whole thing was pretty nuts.
No kidding, whatever happened to sportsmanship for fuck's sake?

What's the worst fan base out there in your opinion? Like, the worst group of fans, the most ill-mannered or defensive group. And it can be for anything.

The Inception fan base is pretty bad. The most vocal of members proclaim the move as the second coming and claim it got snubbed at the awards. I liked it, though I wasn't exactly amazed with it, and the second time through it was just okay. But any bad word against it and you're likely to get a comment that sounds like:

"Aww, did your little brain hurt watching the movie?" or "I guess you don't want to think when watching something." or
"Hurr durr, was the big movie too complex for you?"

A lot of the members must feel really freaking smart for understanding a complicated action movie, even though there was a solid hour of simply paying attention that would give any internet-savvy hipster a good idea of what was going on. But understanding it makes you some kind of intellectual. An artistic, cultured intellectual who likes watching action movies that "make you use your brain". Ugh.

Not all the fan base is bad, but just look at the comments for any negative review of this movie and you'll see where I'm coming from.

i really did like inception and i do see it as a good movie, but nothing really that specail. be the one thing that bugs me is: do people really found it complicated? no to blown my onw horn, but i thought the movie was pretty straightforward.

but anyway: i can say every game/movie fanbase and alot of people would nod. but the thing that annoys me most are fans who like something that they found some stuff funny from what they like, even though it hasn't got a clou. like for example portal. don't get me wrong i think it is a amazing game, but why do they find the line : the cake is a lie! funny? it hasn't a clou and it is pretty straightforward. so why are portal fans laughing their asses off when they hear it?

I played CoD online a few times. I know quick-scoping is cool, and that it takes some skill to pull off consistently, but now, if you get a kill with a sniper rifle without quick-scoping, you're suddenly a noob. This really knocks me out of a game. I don't care how elite a move is, I would never try to kill an enemy soldier by getting my eye close to the scope and jerking away in real life.

Again, not everyone gets on my case for "hard-scoping." I don't play online because my Internet isn't fast enough, but when I'm playing split-screen with my friends and/or family, no one calls anyone a noob for getting kills with ordinary methods. There's just something about being on the other side of a screen, I guess.

What i really hate are the animal fanboys that threaten people and the their family.
Don't get me wrong there are a lot of vegetarians that are alright but some of them are going to far.

I have seen framers, company's and peoples lives be destroyed and burnt down because they work with meat or animals.

And I know their a small group but its the only fanboy group that really gets on my nerves

I'm going to have to say the Transformers fanbase: the fact that a character with the same name appearing in one of the movies gets them so hyped up both amuses and confuses me. Seriously, the amount of enthusiasm just because the new movie used the term "Wrecker" was astounding. Not to mention the lengths they'll go to to defend anything with the Transformers name in it. Seriously, if I hear "Oh it's a Bay Film so it should get a pass" or "You're not supposed to think about it" one more time I'm going to scream!
That's actually pretty funny. Pretty much every Transformer fan I've ever met is upset about the fact that the movies exist at all. Actually, they're upset that anything that exists after the original cartoon never should have even been made.

Never mind all the progress Transformers has had in spite of the movies, what with the toys themselves better than ever and a surge of great cartoons.

So, apparently you and I have come into contact with very different people. Odd.

BTW, nice Persona 4 avatar. Gotta love Naoto.

OT: I would have to say that about 90% of the XBox live community. As MovieBob once said in a Game Overthinker episode:

"Seriously, wanna try a fun experiment?

Create an XBL account and identify yourself as anyone other than a heterosexual white male.

Go on. Go see how PLEASANT everyone is to you."

What a lovely bunch of people.
