Oh, Stephen King's "The Stand"
I will never get that 6 hours back
Buh...wha...I mean...Yurr...where do you get off...I oughta...You sir are a...I LOVE THE STAND!
It's one of my favorite movies. Right from the opening when "Don't Fear the Reaper" starts to play, I was hooked. ooh, and it's even better when you've read The Dark Tower series, as you get to see more of The Stand's world and of a certain antagonist.

What turned you off from the movie? I mean, if you don't like it, then you don't like it, as everyone's taste is different. Just curious.
Well have you read the book? The movie messed with the actual plot too much to make it enjoyable for me. I spent a month reading that book only to have it destryed in 6 hours. I didnt like the actors either, but I do think Stu's character was well played.

James Cameron's Avatar.

Fuck that movie, $300,000,000 spent to tell me how much of a bastard I am for abusing mother earth, 300 billion dollars can plant alot of trees ya hypocrite fuck.
300,000,000 = three hundred million.

300,000,000,000 = three hundred billion.

By the way, hyperbole is not your friend.

That being said, it wasn't the worst I've seen. If I had to demote films for hypocrisy, then basically every environmental film goes down in flames.

Any film with Rob Schneider in it. And this Bob Dylan movie "I'm not there". It was kinda cool for a while but then it got soo boring and it didn't make any sense at all!

THE SPIRIT

It has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. It screwed up a great character.
Oh, it has ONE redeeming quality.
It gave me and my buddies the line "We know. We was watching."

From what I can tell, if you read the comics you will automatically hate this movie.
If you didn't, you probably didn't see it.
If you did, there's like a 2% chance you would like it.

...I'm in that 2%.
It's a terrible movie to be sure, but I never read the comics. I liked some of the film-effects because I love the 1940s black and white Noir style. Adding color correction to the movie tickles that snobbish part of me too; I can't help it.

But the reason I liked it the most?
I HATED Sin City
I had no fun watching that movie, and to this day, I cannot figure out why.

Pick a random "SY-FY-original." Chances are you'll think it's the worst movie ever made...
Aztec Rex, worst movie that Sy-Fy as ever made, might be one of the worst ever made period...I watch those movies solely because they are bad, but that one was too bad to laugh at.

the best part about the room is that the guy that wrote/directed/starred/produced/etc thought he made one of the best films ever. Look up some of his interviews on youtube

So by that small list it seems that you don't like films that are dialog heavy? Although I've not seen Scarface yet so can't comment on it.
Not at all, I love dialog heavy films. Coen Brothers and Quentin Tarantino are among my favorite film makers. I actually prefer dialog to meaningless action. I just don't like those movies.

Ahh, okay. Got ya. I have yet to read the book, but it's unfortunate that they mucked with the book so much. The mini series was made back when it was still considered fine to completely change everything in a book when making the film version. That's a shame.

Well some other guy here mentioned the Godfather trilogy so wouldn't be surprised xD

Also now that I think of it, I didn't like Dark Knight either . Hugely overrated, although I understand it mostly appealed to Americans. They were going through these confusing elections, unsure about the future brings. I think the joker perfectly resembled this atmosphere of uncertainty.

Funny People, I walked in hoping to see a comedy, and I left really depressed. Over 2 hours of my life and $10 down the crapper.

The Room is so bad it is good, because the authors had the intention of making a decent film. This is why Troll 2 is hilarious and why shit like Death Proof tries too hard.

I'd have to say that Dirty Love is a legit bad film. Not like the above mentioned films, just plain old regular bad. Parody film bad.

As for Hollywood movies, Transformers 2. That movie has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
How is giant robots fighting not a redeeming quality?
You mean the messy CGI cluster that took up the entire screen so you can't for the love of you figure out what's going on?

...No.

The worst film I have ever seen was Eat, Pray, Love. I'm a woman (as you may be able to tell from my adorable lolita avatar) but I could not understand what the main character's problem was for the life of me. She seemed so whiny. Also, since it changes setting three times, you can't even grow to like the supporting characters because there are three different sets of them. If I could have left that film, I would have but I was there with my family.

I'm going to have to say that the Saw films were the worst series of films ever. Not sure what individual film takes the cake though. (and yes, I have seen the Saw movies, all but Saw 3D)
