I don't know if this counts, but when I was 15, I once had a high fever. I had this dream about zombie apocalypse, and when I woke up, I didn't realize that it was just a dream, partly thanks to the fever. So when I started to barricade our front door, my parents woke up wondering what the f***s going on.

It didnt last a few seconds, but still.

being very, very sick to the point where it warped my mind, I was having a dream and came half awake while still dreaming. I was so dangerously dehydrated I was hallucinating. I managed to get myself downstairs for some unknown motive. Because of my dream/hallucination I genuinely thought I was in a robot apocalypse.

As a kid me and my brother shared a room and love(d) Lego. One night i fell out of the top-bunk on top of a nice spread of Lego..facedown.

25 years later I still cry myself to sleep every now and again...

Oh and the 2nd one was this:

I was riding my bike home from a bar (drunk ass hell) and I fell asleep while riding my bike. When I woke up it was kind of a mess (crooked tire and a lot of bruises).

Ahh good times :)

Next time that happens, calm down and try floating towards the cieling. Sometimes that means you're having an OBE.
Nah, I don't think it's that. I've read up on sleep paralysis before; its supposed to be that, because when your sleeping your brain paralyses your body to stop you acting out your dreams, sometimes when you wake up your body hasn't come out of this state yet. It's quite scary sometimes though xP
Interesting, every time that's happened to me i was having (about to have) an OBE. It's usually accompanied by the room vibrating strangely so there isn't a complete lack of sensation.
Are you a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper?

Last one I can remember:

We had a small earthquake about 10 years ago in the middle of the night. I almost crapped my pants because it felt like somebody was shaking my bed violently (while being home-alone).

I woke up laying across three dining room chairs in someone I didn't know's kitchen, with no idea where I was and no recollection of how I got there. that was a bit of a weird morning.

How the hell did you get rid of that spider OP?

I have sleep paralysis occasionally. My mom once woke up with her face against the wall and screamed "I'm blind!" I used to fall out of bed constantly when I was like, six. I woke up with puke all over me a few times when I was sick and young, I used to have night terrors too. I have alot of bad dreams....sleep hasn't been good to me :(

EDIT: Oh yeah and once I had a dream I was licking this chicks nipple and I wake up with the dog licking my mouth.

Woke up on one of those giant stone tombs in graveyards after a night of heavy drinking, it was still dark when it happened and me suddenly sitting up scared this shit out of a couple taking a shortcut through said graveyard.

Woken up tied up. The person on the other end of this heinous activity thought it would be really sexy. I think I'd be more inclined to agree if said person hadn't fucked off to the store to get milk since "you were sleeping so heavily anyway, I didn't think you'd wake up".

There's me in bed for twenty minutes screaming me lungs out praying to allah they didn't nick the TV. Oh, wonderful times.

Waking up in a cold sweat after a chilling and realistic nightmare in which I honestly believed that myself and everyone I loved was going to die...

Also waking on a Monday with serious flu, and it was an exam day at that...

I woke up, and someone (later turned out to be my brother) was standing over me wearing scrubs and plastic gloves covered in red stuff (red dye) and when he saw me awake he screamed 'Oh my god hes awake, hes awake and we've only just opened up his chest!' I freaked out and fell out of bed screaming. First and last time my parents went on holiday letting him be my guardian...

Is that what you kids are calling it these days?

Ahem, anyway, waking up after having an amazing dream, and then the moment of realization that it never happened.

Worst feeling ever, but I'm still young.

A few years ago, I woke up to the smell of smoke and the sound of the fire alarm.
Oh yeah.

A bit more than a year ago, my mom woke me up by telling me that our cat was dead. I walked outside and found her lying on her side in front of our door.
I'd had her since I was six.
Shame man, I know what that's like :(

My parents, being vets, generally are the ones who put our pets down once they get old and have a sickness beyond help. I've seen most of them euthanized in front of me.

As for some more waking up stories... Woke up to my alarm clock that was under a piece of paper, I lifted it wildly and somehow got a paper cut on my eye! Also before an exam... Me, exams, and waking up are a terrible combination.

My friend, who is asthmatic, stayed here once. Halfway through the night, my cat lay on his face, giving him an asthma attack... That woke both of us up (and the cat) very quickly...

Woke up and snoozed my alarm (as you do) then woke up what I assumed was about 5 mins later only to discover it was 2 hours later and I was going to be late for my lecture. In my "Oh holy shit get up GO GO!" panic my feet got trapped in the duvet, I tripped and I fell face first into the wardrobe door, broke it and cut myself.

Still made it to the lecture on time despite looking a bit worse for wear.

? I am in a wonderful half sleepless doze,
? Mum then wakes me up,
? Her: John...?
? Me: Whaaaat?
? Her: Michael Jackson has died
? Me: Ok then
? And I went back to sleep.

It takes alot to shake me from my bed, that is the only thing I can really remember and it is quite funny when I think back on it.
Same thing happened to me..didn't really care at the time.

I've woken up several times with my dog on my head, but it wasn't that bad really.
The worst wake-up ever is when the police rang by doorbell, and I was in my bed naked, with a massive headache and the only memory I had from last night was that I met with a couple of friends and we started drinking in a pub.
DAYUM! What happened?

OT: Nothing special, my bro took the dog for a walk, (It was snowing) brings the dog inside, tells him to jump on my bed. Wet dog foot in my mouth. Not fun.

The police gave me a ticket because my identity card was expired. It was nothing really, but that gave a really good scare

Over six years ago, I was woken up at 2am by loud knocking on the door at my college dorm. This was on a Tuesday night, and I assumed was some drunk and fell back asleep. I was woken up again by loud knocking, so I jumped down from the top bunk and *SPLASH*

It was the RA, letting us know that the place had flooded. The windows were poorly caulked. My roommate and I were luckily able to save everything.
