Woke up to the sound of my mother saying "Get up, we're leaving now". I usually need around 45 minutes between my alarmclock blaring and me being ready to leave for college, never thought I'd be able to manage that in two minutes.

Waking up because the phone was ringing, reaching to grab it, and slicing a finger open on a cracked desk lamp on my bedside table. Going to the emergency room and getting ten stitches in a wound that pumps blood every two seconds isn't the best way to start a Saturday.

Waking up from a nightmare and taking a good half hour to realize "it was just a dream, everything's OK...gods, I can't believe...ONLY A DREAM! A DREAM!"

Stuff like when I have a girlfriend, dreaming that she's cheating on me and I walk in on her with a guy, or the always fun "assassin shows up ready to do me in" screaming nightmare, or dreaming of someone close to me dying/getting diagnosed with cancer...

Then there's the dreams that are just plain weird, like after I had a short fling with a girl and dreamed that I was in the Fallout universe and had a Pip-Boy on my wrist and looked under "Effects" and one of them was "HIV Positive---About to Die" (seriously, my mind is a weird fucking beast. But the fucked-up dreams DO have a tendency to keep my life on the straight and narrow...)

I had a lifesize plastic skeleton in my room called "Charlie". Once I dreamt he stole my eyes and I woke up in the pitch black of night screaming.

Just a couple of other question, if you don't mind:
On the nights where you have the paralysis, are those the night's where you're awake every hour?
Is this insomnia or just light sleeping?

Quite often I wake up and find I can't move. =/ "Sleep Paralysis" or whatever. (If that counts.)
i flipping hate this so much. it happened to me the first knowledgeable time when i was 6 so i was freaking out not being able to move.

uhm there are quite a few random times...

one time i slept walk into the closet, beneath the shelf (as in a 1-1/2 feet tall) and i forced myself into the laundry basket and shut the door. so when i woke up i couldn't move and couldn't see anything so i freaked out a bit.

honestly im getting better at it though, i tend to dream whatever i am sleeping walking (so if i am walking down a hallway i tend to walk down some kind of hallway or walk on a rope or something, so it reflects real life objects)

Just last night, somebody bumped the alarm in our dorm. But the alarm malfunctioned. It made this raspy screaming sound. Waking up to that when you already have regular nightmares.... Not fun.

Probably waking up on a Saturday morning, going down the stairs, and finding one of our cats lying on the kitchen floor paralyzed and dying from a stroke. That cat had been around since I was born.

Both really. It happens at any time. Mostly in the morning, but last time it was in the middle of the night xP

Try meditating (clearing your mind) before going to bed.

Also effective against Legilimency.

The worst thing I can think of was waking up after having had a bloody nose in my sleep.

I once woke up to find that somehow my left leg had fallen asleep.

I once woke up and hit my head on the ceiling. And it was the spiky kind that they don't seem to make anymore.

Any time I wake up and either arm is asleep to the point where it's completely numb and impossible to move, since it becomes near impossible to turn over or get out of bed until it wakes up.

For a specific moment, my first morning during a trip to Norway a couple years ago. I stayed with a friend who lent me a cell phone, which I used as an alarm clock. With me being unfamiliar with its alarm tone, it scared the hell out of me when it went off. Still not sure if it was the weird tone itself or how loud it was.
