Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy.
I loved the first Dissidia, but what the hell is the title supposed to mean?
(I think "Dissidia" comes from a word meaning battle or discord, but "Duodecim?" The hell? Is it supposed to be like duo (2) and decim[al] (10), equaling 12? I just don't get it...)

Duodecim is 12 in latin. Duo, 2. Decem, 10. That's why it's Dissidia 12 [duodecim] Final Fantasy. Wait.. what? Why is it Dissidia 12? Square Enix, please try to have someone who isn't a moron name your games.

That being said, Gods Eater Burst is a clumsy annoyance of a title. I guess they were trying not to offend anyone, but a) it's stupid, and b) it looks like "God's Eater" now, which is worse.

I think "Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus" slightly has the edge over that name in the stupidity department. It's like Aksys is trying to outdo the Street Fighter series in the stupid names department. Also, I'm surprised no one's mentioned Devil May Cry. Yes, I know the name makes sense given the story, but it doesn't make it sound any less stupid.

anyway, people sometimes forget that metal gear solid: snake eater sounds like five random words pasted together to most people. metal. ok. metal i can get behind that. gear. so the gear is metal. what gear? who cares. gear is metal. solid. yeah, we know it's solid. metal is solid. unless it's clarifying the gear is not liquid metal or the t1000. snake. what?! snake? non-liquid metal gear that is a snake or shaped like a snake?! what use could that possibly be for? eater. fuck it. i'm done here.
