3. Re-using some of the original characters. They had the mercenary with white hair, and that little service droid. Come on. That's so unoriginal. Use your own characters.
Ok yeah, they re-used 2 characters. 3 if you count Mandalore. But other than those all the characters were diverse and interesting and weren't the same as Bioware's standard cast of characters.

Modern Warfare 2, in my opinion, it was horrifically handled for several reasons;
1) Campaign lacks the same immersion; sure it looks pretty, but I really disliked the plot; it lacked the plot twists of CoD4 (come on, Shepard was way too obvious; he looks and sounds evil) and skipped around too much.
2) Multiplayer was as unbalanced.
3) Spec Ops was really badly handled; there was a lot of potential in it, but they copy-pasted far too many maps. Plus it could have easily been 4-player.
4) Most of my other reasons can be found here, in this rather humorous video -

Edit: Also every Pokemon game since the series moved onto the DS: I don't know why, but they just don't feel right anymore, plus I hate the DS's shape because it makes my hands stiff.
Hm. You are the first person I have seen that doesn't like mw2 and actually have good reasons to aside from just hopping on the mw2 hate bandwagon that seems to be so popular nowadays.

Majoras Mask

Sad, as my favorite game on the system was OoT =(
Heretic! Majora's Mask was one of the greatest innovations of gaming to this day! I have yet to see any other gaming company do a similar system in their game! *nerdrage* (this post is sort of a joking post. Your opinion is completely respected here :p)

It's not the worst by any means, but Ass Creed 2. It simply did not add anything interesting to Assassin's creed and so was just an entire game based around stale game-play mechanics (i felt like i had enough of it right before the end of Ass Creed 1).
Btw the keyword is interesting, i know it added stuff, and changed other things, but not enough to justify an entire new game (especially one based on already stale mechanics).

I was half joking myself tbh, I thought the Heretic line would get a few giggles. =3
I just don't see why people like the game. o_O
I personally found the game to be nothing more than an 'expansion' of the Happy Mask sub-event in OoT. The fact it re-uses the OoT engine wholesale, characters models included to he quite appalling, the game had next to no originality to it in the slightest. While I hated its weak excuse of a story, I don't need to bash on it to make my point. =(

Well, the reason i liked it so much was because of the design of the game itself. I mean really, how often do you see a game that gives you a 3 day time limit and you can go back in time to day 1 any time you like, BUT anything you have done will not have happened. I think that is some very innovative game design and shouldn't be taken lightly.

I admit, the story wasn't the best out there (quite frankly it made no sense whatsoever)and the reuse of the models wasn't the best idea nintendo could have come up with. However, I still like the game regardless

Broken Sword becoming 3D :< ruined the whole thing imho. Also with Fade to Black the 2D game was awesome the 3d one unplayable.

AGREED. Sonic is truly dead.

Other than that nothing really comes to mind. Some people thought Bioshock 2 was horrible, But I thought it was an ok, fairly good game. Not as good as the original, but definitely not bad.

I suppose I need to pay that, but only slightly, it got old playing through the same 3 days after the 10th time...

It felt like... A fan made sequel? If that makes sense...

Off the top of my head...

- Shadow Hearts: From The New World

- Devil May Cry 2

- Final Fantasy X-2
1) YES
2) HELL YES
3) SO CLOSE... BUT NO.

FFX-2 was a good GAME... just not a good Final Fantasy, and was a sequal to a game that didn't need one.

OT: Metroid Other M. I lost what little respect I had for Team Ninja that day.
I beg to differ, I want to accept that Final Fantasy X-2 had good gameplay (re-imagening of the job-system), but NOT that it was a good game. Why?

- Major rehash of graphics: copy/pasting characters, enemies, areas, etc.
- A terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE story! And this includes the story itself, character development (if any), lame new characters, needlessly screwing around with elements set up in Final Fntasy X and having a wrong Charlie's Angels kind of atmosphere.
- Forgettable music (although many FF-titles seem to suffer from that nowadays...)
- Lame mini-games (they ruined blitzball and that game with the coins wasn't on par with the card games of Final Fantasy VIII or IX).
- No summons. (Okay, this is really subjective, but dammit, I wanted to see new aeons!)

And I'm probably forgetting some other stuff. On the other hand... It's really all just opinions, isn't it? But hey, just wanted to throw that out there.

Burnout Dominator
It was when they stopped including things like Crash Junctions in the game and started turning it into every other generic driving game out there.

Fallout New Vegas has been pretty disappointing too.

When games have such a great formula and then get rid of the things that made it great and unique, it makes me really want to yell at them:

I recently played silent hill 2, and I have to say it is one of the worst games I've ever played. It has the most nonsensical and ridiculous puzzles, horrid pacing, and ridiculous boss fights. Pyramid head was a joke and the first major encounter with him was absolutely pathetic. Literally you just walk from one corner of a small room to another over and over until a siren rings.

The failures of the gameplay really overshadow an otherwise enjoyable story and atmosphere. Essentially silent hill 2 would have been much better as a movie than its current shoddy state.

What was the first K&L game like?
It was ok for what it was. It wasnt really pushing any innovation but it would keep you entertained for a few days perhaps a week.

I prefer not to judge a game for not appealing to me without constructive arguments; I really dislike MW2, but also games such as Dragon Age: Origins (put me right of the series as a whole to be honest), Medieval Total War 2 and the newer Pokemon games among others. The thing is though I have my reasons and should people ask for them, I will happily give them. I really like when people give reasons for disliking it, but are open to see why others like it.

Tekken 2, then it became good again on tekken 3. :D

And Suikoden 3, the battle system was a huge cluster-fuck.
The army battle system, yeah, an absolute crap-fest, but I honestly liked the rest of the game (including the regular battle system) enough to consider it a good game.

Suikoden IV on the other hand...

I daresay some Capcom-made sequels arent very good either, but theyve certainly broken that habit.
Yahtzee calls K&L2 the worst game of 2010, and I take his word for it, which makes it a strong contender.
Would Sonic Free Riders count?
