did you play the first or second one?
I liked the open-ness of the second one, and the fact that it let me get to areas I wasn't supposed to be at yet (run across the ocean with water walking turned on FTW) and it has one of the coolest magic systems I've found in a game.

The voice acting was hilariously bad though. I'm not sure about the story because I payed little attention to it.

I never played the first one, but mages are overpowered as all hell in the second.

Devil may cry 2......i had to use cheats to make it bearable (ie infinite jump made it slightly funny but mostly to quickly get through it for a challenge)

Worst game I think I've ever played? It's a toss up between Dead Island and Cathrine, but at least Dead Island pulled weight in multiplayer.

So, probably Cathrine.

The absolute worst game I've played was that fairly recent Leisure Suit Larry game on xbox.

I can't believe they fooled people into making more of that garbage via kickstarter.

In its defence the kickstarter was raising funds for a remake of the original point and clicks that were supposed to be pretty good and he does acknowledge the terribleness of magna cum laden and box office bust in the kickstarter video.

OT: revelations 2012 is the best interpretation of the apocalypse ever created as it is no fun whatsoever.

Max Payne isn't that bad. I'm kind of meh about the series though. Max Payne 3 looks fun.

Wow, no CoDs or ME3 yet. That's a surprise.

Anyway, I can't remember what it was called, but it was some cartoony platformer/collectathon with guns on the Wii, I think it was all very Tim Burtony, and it felt like a bad movie licensed game. Platforming was terrible, shooting things with a platformer camera was terrible, the entire thing was just dull and actively made me want to stop.

I know a lot about the Wii library, even the crappiest garbage, but I don't think I've heard of any dark collectathon with GUNS.

I found it [http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii/death-jr-root-of-evil], and apparently it's a port of a PSP game, so now it makes a lot of sense. Although it doesn't look like it's really that bad a game, but the reviews go from 9/10 to 4/10 so I'm not completely against the grain.

I like to my research as well when it comes to video games. I don't want to waste my money on a bad game.

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust

It's the only game I've ever played where I've found myself hoping that the creators are driven out of the industry so they can never inflict such rubbish upon the world again.

I'm actually a fan of the Leisure Suit Larry series and this game was an absolute disappointment. Terrible controls, bad camera and overall bad narration (stupid, raunchy jokes).

ET the extra terrestrial or whatever the name of that old game based on ET was called. It's pretty classic for it's sheer terribleness (it's apparently up there in the top 10 of worst games of all times) and chances are you've heard of it. I can honestly say it was the most nauseatingly fucking awful thing I've ever played.

Some say there's a landfill somewhere filled with copies of that game.

I'm not even joking.

OT: This DBZ game I bought for the original Playstation. It was god awful.

Okay. So I've never played Supahman 64 or E.T. and I actually found the first section of Duke Nukem Forever entertaining, so this is going to be difficult.

And I would say Ping Pals, but that doesn't count, that was just a software downgrade that cost 40 bucks.

Defenders of Ardania. Had to review that for a site. It was an undying, horrific nightmare and never have I been less interested to revisit or study a game.

Every single FPS i've played the last 3-4 years. I'm also starting to hate games that try to throw in a bit of RPG no matter what the original genre of the game is supposed to be. Same thing goes for RPGs that seem to be dumbing their RPG elements more and more in favor of the mainstream action game approach. Bethesda's games are the finest specimen (since this approach made them so popular)

I have so many friends that are addicted to Skyrim. I personally don;t mind the game, but it's not bad.

The kickstarter campaign was created by Al Lowe the creator of Leisure Suit Larry and has nothing to do with those two more recent abominations. He wants to make a game more like the ones that he did in the late 80's and early 90's where while the eventual goal was to get laid or otherwise 'get the girl', the plot isn't made up of a bunch of grinding the same shitty mini-games over and over again until you get a crappy half baked cutscene. There's still a chance for a good Leisure Suit Larry game to be made if people that remember it the way it used to be give it a chance.

OT: The worst game I've ever played has got to be Giants: Citizen Kabuto. It has a horrible comprehensible plot, unbalanced multiplayer, and shitty controls. I used to have a friend who held it up as the shining example of gaming goodness, he actually got pissed at me and wouldn't talk to me for about a month because I refused play it with him.
