Worst installment of your favorite series?

For everyones favorite series, there is always a particular game that people seem to dislike or even hate. In your opinion, what games don't live up to their predecessors?

I personally always hated Phantom Hourglass, the fact that it was a sequel to Wind Waker my favorite Zelda game even made me more angry.

I rather disliked Halos 3 and ODST, but enjoyed CE and 2.

I guess it;ll be one of these three:
Final Fantasy X-2
GTA 3
NHL 2005

Let's see...
Zoo Tycoon 2 was infinitely worse than the first
Roller Coaster Tycoon was almost an exact copy of the first with expansion packs
Obviously any Spyro/Crash game other than the original PlayStation ones
Tactics was awesome, Tactics Advanced + sequel was crap
Mario Kart Wii was horrid when compared to Double Dash, although it was more balanced
And Warcraft 2 and 3 were waaaaay better than WOW

Probably Blood Omen from the Legacy of Kain series. An isometric hack and slasher that I found rather difficult. It would be in the four later games that it would just become a full-on 3d action game.

Metroid Prime:Hunters is probably the Worst game in the Metroid Series.
Though its anything but a Horrible Game.

I really liked it, it had its week points, mostly the Cluttered Bottom Screen that messed with the Controls and the Bosses.
It was the Same 2 two Bosses the ENTIRE GAME.
Just upgraded Versions each time...
Though the Final boss was fun.

But it was also a Good FPS on the DS with a interesting Story, simple controls once you get used to them, cool Weapons, and fun Multiplayer.

Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire.

I think generation 3 was the weakest of the Pokemon series.

Napoleon Total War is my least favorite Total War game, Shogun 2 better make up for it.

Its not my favorite series and it had been iffy up to that point,but it was the first one to be completely and irredeemably bad.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.

It's like I asked for a cookie and got a cracker instead. Crackers are fine and dandy, but its not what I wanted.

The game wasn't bad in itself, it just wasnt the sequel to Banjo Tooie that I hoped for.

Sons of Liberty was really, really bad compared to the rest of the Metal Gear Solid games.

This. I still didn't mind it too much, especially when compared to some games of other series (Lookin' at you, Mega Man 7) but the sudden shift (and decline) in protagonist was pretty jarring.

Farcry 2

Was not in any way like the first. I really have no idea how it got the reviews it did and even placed high in PC Gamer's top 100 list. I will be baffled about this for a long long time.

I don't know what is my favorite series of video games but here is a few, GTA4, MegaMan X7, Armored Core 4(the one after that I liked much better though), Command And Conquer RA3(I prefer tiberium but I mean CnC as a whole also I did not play CnC 4 and I refuse to),Destroy All Humans Path of a Furon, Aliens Vs. Predator the new one. Just to name a few.
