Ahhhh there was one that caused me endless grief. The level in Kingdom Hearts One where you had to fight evil Rikku in that one castle. Hallow Bastion I think. I did it a million times and I had to see the cutscene over...and over...and over...and over...

Cortana Level in Halo 3, FUCKING SUCKED
This, and the end of the tie fighter factory where you have to pull down the star destroyer
This, This, and also a level on Force Unleashed that take place on kashykk. the boss battle is so easy, and so pointless to the storyline of the game. its the same exact thing as just taking down a regular ATT walker.

Throw in the beginning of the last level with all the snipers/at-sts/purge troopers.

Mega Man 2, Heat Man stage.

Jesus Christ, those disappearing blocks were impossible without Item-2. It's a level hazard you might expect from a ROM hack, not from an actual video game.
I just beat the other 7 levels and got item-2. Airman was easier than that, and Airman will not die [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUVdA9ABzpg].
Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane,

It's Air Man ***** an' I'm bringing the pain!

I got a fan installed in ma grill, no lie,

I'll blow yer ass off the map, g'bye!

On the topic of Mega Man, I hated Hornet Man's stage in MM7 - TOO MANY INSTA DEATH SPIKES. They weren't even fun spikes like in Jewel Man's stage (the best). Also, THAT BLOODY FLOWER. Probably one of the most painful mini-bosses I have ever seen.
Are you sure you're not getting MM7 confused with MM9? Hornet Man and Jewel Man aren't from MM7.

But Hornet Man's stage was terrible. Agreed with you on the flower, that was a painful mini-boss. Then again, I never beat any stage other than Galaxy Man's stage (and getting to the boss of Plug Man's).

Thanks for correcting me.

Also, you are meant to use Galaxy Man's power to destroy Jewel Man (just two hits absolutely decimate him), then use Jewel Man's power to destroy Plug Man.

umm... it's Malachor V not IV...anyway, that sucked but the worst part of the game was on peragus. It's like a failed attempt at survival horror i.e. being alone on a deserted meteor station where the crew is dead (and the game doesn't let you forget it, with several mangled corpses and screamy voice recordings of people being killed by robots strewn all across the station). It wants you to be scared, but it just doesn't work....perhaps because you're running around in your underwear, shooting lightning out of your fingers at comically ill-proportioned robots... kinda makes it hard to take it seriously...
yeah thats probably the worst tutoral/starting level I've ever played.
Peragus was bad, but I liked gradually finding out what happened to the crew.
true so did I, the first time around. After that it was just tedious to do.
Maybe its just me.

Yeah. The infamous Library from the first Halo. That was just lazy and annoying level design. Forgiven in part, simply for the awesome final race level in the Warthog.

Edit- I had forgotten about Cortana from 3. It was no library, but it was a confusing, cheap, unfun mess. I was ready to let the ***** die with the Gravemind.

wich was when i turned off the game and sold the game, deleted any existance of it from my hard drive (i hope the achievemnts are gone too, i dont want them).

I agree that that was a bad level, but I did ask for bad level in a GOOD game, and alone in the dark sucked alround.

I'm amazed at the lack of Water Temples in this topic.
We prefer to pretend that water temples never existed.
Come on guys, it wasn't that bad. True, running around in circles to control the water levels was annoying, but it wasn't the confusing level of doom everyone makes it out to be.
Exactly, just a case of carefully exploring and memorising where things are.

Only annoying bit was the whirlpool river.
Dark Link was hard, though. There was some secret to beating him, but I forgot it.
Use the Megaton Hammer. He matches your movements with the Master Sword and Hylian Shield, that's what makes him so damn difficult, but he doesn't HAVE the Hammer, so he can't match your moves, so all his "skills" (which are actually just YOUR skills) mean precisely "dick."

Halo 1 was a decent game, but the library stage almost drain my entire interest in the single player.

I really hated getting through the mist to Lemuria in Golden Sun 2. Gathering all the pieces of the Trident was annoying enough, but I really loathed navigating my way through that maze, even if wasn't difficult. Otherwise that game was brilliant.

Yeah that underwater level was really boring, but possibly one of the most annoying was in the first Halo, where one of the levels was pretty much running backwards through a level you'd already done, but with flood instead of covenant. I think it was due to time constraints, but the level was confusing enough when the arrows on the ground pointed the right way :p
Not only that but you revisit the level in halo 3.
Personally anytime you're alone in SW republic commando is extremely frustrating. I know it adds to the atmosphere but it doesn't help when you're downed for the tenth time and there's no-one to revive you.
You do not return to the Pillar of Autumn in Halo 3.

ooh... well... erm...

the water level in Dino Crisis II was really boring and awfull... more so because it feels the thought "hey!! lets make a water level" "ok..." and rushed the thing to occupy some space they had left, it isn´t even interesting, nothing new to discover, and you have to buy a weapon that works only in that level.
