I bought Mercs 2 thinking it would be like a shinier, more explode-y Mercs 1. I was wrong. I was very wrong.

Breaking my Nintendo DS, buying a new one, then breaking that one. I'm on my 3rd and I'm out $250 due to my anger.

Buying Red Alert 3... killed the series to me, although at the time i thought it was fun.
uhm... Tank spamming against a guy using an air army...
Playing as a sniper on a close quarters map (its fun trying).
Playing Halo 3 for as long as i did before realising how bad it was.
I looked at Halo Wars once. That's probably the biggest one ever. The rest are pale in comparison really.

When I was younger it took me long enough to realise that not only are movie based games SHIT but that they ruin your overall enjoyment of the movie.
Except for Street Fighter&reg: The Movie (arcade game)*. Classic!

That first one is actually pretty awesome, I do it sometimes in COD on shipment, you get a fair few kills
And I really quite enjoyed Halo Wars *sob*
Mmm, probably buying games near exams, thinking I can control myself...

Haven't we all done that before... I sure as hell have...
Last Minute Panic is not fun...

Anyway on the OP: Probably not playing Final Fantasy back when it was easy to come by.

even though I could probably make it now, I dropped my last portable save point in FF7 way before that downward spiral to the final boss, and could not make it past the slew of random encounters, or if I did, I was screwed health-wise.

I don't remember the game that well, but I intend to play it again sometime. All I remember was being completely anal about my materia. I spent hours perfecting it.

I used my Master Ball on an Onyx.
I'm not gonna lie, that's probably one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of.

Geez, so many mistakes, so little time. Hmmm... how about let's see... Halo for the pc (boring ass load of crap that was, Blood did guns akimbo so much better), or perhaps Fallout 3 PC, or CoD, or Medal of Honor, or hmmm, any of the generic fps games that have flooded the shelves since doom and quake were hits.

Ooh ooh I know... Fury by Auran. I only bought it cos a mate of mine was a programmer on the game, and god it turned out to be shit. I know why it was such a failure too. The internal email sent from the staff to the lead designer was hilarious. Their other game, Krush Kill & Destroy was a massive failure too, and one that I paid full price for :(
