[b/]This Topic has the Escapist Seal of Approval [spoiler/][image/]http://www.arjanwrites.com/arjanwrites/images/2007/09/22/arjanwrites_seal2.jpg[/IMG]
Anyway. We've all had them before. A time when we've gone to the movies only to find some asshole who has to ruin it for everyone in the theater. My question to you Escapist is, what's your worst time?

Mine would have to be when I went to go see Watchmen for the first time and, to my amazment, the entire theater was packed. Literally, everyone was sitting next to someone else, but that's beside the point. About 10 minutes into the trailers, I knew this was gonna be bad. There was a very large group of people about 10 rows behind me and 2 of them were drunk out of their mind. All I did was hope that they would stay quite.

Naturally, they didn't. The new trailer for Star Trek comes on and they wont shut up. All I hear is, "Oh god!!! Not this again!!! This will be so stupid" and they never shut up from there. And if you've seen/read Watchmen, you'll know that whenever Dr. Manhatten was on screen, they wouldn't stop freaking out with their homophobic bullshit.

I went to see District 9, and there were some guys making tons of noise in front of me. I asked them to be quiet, and I got the response "fuck off". After that, any time he spoke, I said shush, right behind his head. Eventually, he stood up, and tried to hit me, but I let it glance off my arm, then hit him in the jaw. He didn't press charges as my punch was in self defense. I was getting into the movie, too.

Mine was when I went to see the LOTR Return of the King the first time. The reason why there was a second time was that I threw up in the cinema the first time. While it was bad for me I feel really bad for the people who were near me in the cinema. And my sister who I threw up on.

Anytime some dumb shit asshole parents bring their fucking baby/toddler. What are they stupid? Have their brains left their bodies or did they never have any? I hate that shit more than the cliche asshat talking on his/her cell phone even after the "Please Silence Your Cell Phones" announcement has been on the screen for the tenth time. Both of these groups of people should be banned from movies for life. They should keep a data base of all offenders at every movie theater in the world. If they pass through the doors a camera with face recognition sets off and alarm. That way they can never bug us again, EVAR.

Had this dude behind me during whatever the hell the new Die Hard is called. Every four seconds we had to narrate (colorfully) what was happening. "AH SHIT THE FUCKER JUST BLEW THE SHIT OUTA THAT SHIT! SSSHHHHEEEEIIIIT!"

Well... This is pretty much all my fault, but...

I had been sick for four days straight, had chicken and a salad with an accidental overdose of dressing for dinner, and drank a big slushee before the movie started. We sat near the front of the screen, as well.

The movie I saw was Cloverfield. Genius, I know. Managed to run to the ladies' room with the help of my friends and reach a toilet, but... urg. Blue and green vomit. Nom nom!

EDIT: Oh, and I went back and saw it again a few weeks later, wanting to see the half I missed. I was completely and perfectly fine with the motion then.

Nope, sorry. This is not Escapist approved. This is a repeat thread, a fairly recent thread in fact. With a near identical title.

Smokin' Aces and Public Enemies bored the living shit out of me, walked out of both.

South Park... the session I was in had goddamn children in it. Fortunately, the idiots who brought them realised soon after it started that it wasn't a disney-esque romp in the park.

That's about it.

All I remember was someone shouting "Yo Wanda! Bring me back some Skittles!" in the middle of Exorcism of Emily Rose.

A friend of mine asked me to go see Transformers 2 with her. Her boyfriend saw it with some of his friends. Since me and her know each other from childhood and we haven't talked in a long fucking while, I accepted.

Don't get me wrong, I hated the movie. However, what was worst is those "kids" she brought along. Her sister's kids which she was babysitting. (She trapped me like she always did). Those noisy, spoiled, fat, idiotic and dramatic kids that never shut the hell up.

One of them cried because of the "death" of a certain robot. He's not the small crying type, but the one that always goes a little too far. Manager asked us to calm him down or we had to get out. At this point, I wanted him to make a drama. (Movie was terribad). However, he calmed down. My friend promised him some Dairy Queen.

The only good part was he didn't get any DQ. I heard he made a big fuss out of it.

Taking my cousins to see Speed Racer sucked soo bad. We ended up sitting in the front row, and I swear I almost had a seizure.

Years ago, I convinced a buddy of mine to go see "Saving Silverman" with me. The movie was terrible, but that's neither here nor there. A few minutes after the movie started, a couple walked in and sat directly behind me. He was intensely drunk and wouldn't shut up. Every scene was followed by his bellowing, "Oh shit!" or "You're screwed now man!" After 15 minutes of sinking lower and lower into my seat, someone in the theater yelled, "Shut the fuck up!" He did, and 1 minute later the couple left. I don't know if it's weird or not, but, while I was angry, I was more embarrassed than anything. All in all, it was a very awkward experience.
