See, I don't go to the movies for those reasons. People can be annoying.

Older kids tried to beat us up outside of the Movie Theater at like 11:00. Naturally we walked into the theater where they couldn't do anything and watched some high kid hit the glass door as hard as he could without showing any pain somehow.

My worst experience led to a couple of hours in the police station.

See, I was watching Dark Knight for the third time (first time was with a girl who would not shut up, and the second time was ruined by a kid who would not stop yelling) when I noticed the guy sitting beside me had his camcorder out and was recording the movie.

Wanting to do my civic duty, I told him off and asked him to put it away. Guy pulls a knife on me and tells me to shut up or he'll gut me. So I sit there for the better part of a half hour with a knife sticking into my side.

During a lull in the movie's action, I tried to wrestle the knife away from the would-be pirate. It ended up in a brawl, and the guy got arrested. I, meanwhile, had to stay at the station to be interrogated by the cops.

But yeah. Apparently, the third time is NOT a charm.

District 9. Not because I didn't like it, but I went with a group of friends and the only way for us to sit together was to sit in the far left row very close to the screen so I had a very skewed viewing of a great movie.
Spider Man 3. Once again, theater was completely packed and I had to sit very close and I got a back crick in my neck from looking up at the screen.
I guess my complaints are pretty small compared to everyone else.

When I went to see When A Stranger Calls. Everyone was gasping at every little thing in the movie. And it really didn't help that the movie sucked.

I went to go see a harry potter with the family and I made a little girl cry because she kept kicking my seat, and she kept crying throughout the movie.

Watching District 9 and during the action-filled second half, finding something out. Apparently, half the theater was sleepy frat boys. They laughed and screamed like crazy... Well, frat boys do every time someone died. I have to admit, the deaths were creative and gruesome enough to laugh, but the hour before it set up so much tension it was almost unbelievable to see anyone laugh. It was almost as if they were all asleep and were woken up by the sound of gunshots.

trying to watch any pixar film with stupid kids screaming and being little tossers, i've never wanted to punch a kid so much as when i was watching ratatouille and this kids was behind me asking questions the whole way through,
"who's that one?"
"where's paris?"
"is that chef real?"
"why is he called Remy?"
as you can imagine, it was pretty annoying

I went to see Jurrasic Park on opening night and waited for an hour and a half outside to get in. Then I had to go the bathroom so bad that I missed one of the best parts. The part when that spitting dinosaur spit on Newman from Seinfeld. I'll never forget that. I was annoyed at myself.

When I went to see The Incredibles. I was the only one in the theater... It was incredibly creepy and awkward.

I don't remember the move but one time I was with a couple of friends of mine and the theatre was pretty much empty except us and 6 kids sitting on the very back row. They were some of the most obnoxious little shits I've ever seen. They were practically yelling, throwing sweets and popcorn about, even running along the row of seats giggling oh so very loudly.

After about 5 minutes of this, my mate got up walked calmly to the back row and said, and this is a near dead on quote, "Listen you little fucks you better sit down and shut your gobs or next time I'm coming back here and I'm going to kick fuck out of every last one of you, I don't care if you're 13 but I paid to see this film and I'm going to fucking enjoy it! Got it!?" At which point he walked back to his seat to applause from the rest of us.

Both best and worst time in cinema I think.

Way back in 2004, I had no car and the nearest theater was a 3-hour walk away. But I wanted to see Anchorman, dammit, I'll take the 6 hour round trip. After 3 hours in the rain I finally get there only to hate the 90 minute long movie. It was stupid immature humour, and not even the fun kind of immature humour, just dumb. Then I had to begin my 3 hour journey back...

Watching Star Trek. A group of like 12 people up at the top started yelling at another group at the bottom of the theater.
I ended up throwing stuff at them and got them pissed enough to leave.

Stupid fucks.

Yeah, I hate it when people applaud at any bit in a movie. There's no point or purpose to it at all other than making everybody miss some dialogue.

OT: Meet the Spartans. That is all.
