Go play Call of Duty 4. Rattle off 8 30+ kill TDM games in a row because CoD4 actually requires skill.

I actually found myself doing the exact same thing! At least in COD4 there were legitimate counters for campers.

As for crappy MP experiences i gotta say that trying Doom 3 online was a terrible mistake. Rushing in RTS's is quite frustrating too.

I didn't like GTA 4's multiplayer. It was slow and it didn't really play well.

Another was Kane and Lynch. As orignal as it was, it didn't really work out in the gameplay and I don't even wanna talk about the times I ended up dead due to accidental friendly fire.

Yup, this. It's weird - I either have an amazing group when I pug (esp. in the new LFG system) or a completely horrible one. I pretty much purposely shut off all the main channels, especially trade. If I need something, I ask my guild...

Most laggy, glitchy, piece of shit multiplayer I've ever seen.

I second this, it's laggy as hell unless you're the host because shotguns spread less depending on your connection, which means that the host can one shot, shotgun kill from a medium distance.

The community there sucks.

The first game I ever played on that two people were having Phone Sex, with the Mics of course. I felt so uncomfortable I quit before the match even started.

I would've joined in just to make their lives more awkward.

OT: there are a lot of games that should have spent more time polishing the single player rather than blatantly slapping on multiplayer. Like "the darkness" and "Prey." Fable II gets honorable mention for going out of its way to be a PoS.

I find some (note the word SOME, not all) people who play L4D2 online can be right douche bags. I had my first ever game of multiplayer and got called a 'fucking retard' about 10 times in a row, in a loud, angry voice by some bloke because I didn't see a Hunter jump on him when he was BEHIND ME. I'd like to point out that the other two survivors were quite literally dangling from a ledge somewhere where nobody could get to them.

Plus their servers are quite laggy and the amount of times I've been presented with the 'Retrying Connection to Server...' message!

I also had someone else in a Survival match asking me how old I was, if I was really a girl and do I really think I should be playing Left 4 Dead 'at my age'!?
