I really, REALLY hate Nuketown from Black Ops.
Ninja'd by the OP!

Putting 12 players in a map as small as Nuketown is like putting a dozen light bulbs in a small grocery bag and shaking it! Everyone is going to die so many times because no matter where you are, somebody is coming at one of your sides with a shotty, or you might just be fragged by one of the grenades raining from the sky!
The worst part is that Nuketown seems to be the most popular map! EVERYONE votes for it! but you get one of the nice large maps and people vote against it! *RAAAGE*

but since that one is already taken......

The SNES ghost stage in Mario Kart Wii; It's so short that if you're hit by anything you pretty much have NO chance of ever catching up, and when you're high rank in that game, you lose about 10 races worth of points (assuming first place every time) for coming in last due to a blue shell on that map.

Nuketown. Sit under the bus and shoot everyone that respawns or tries to come through, after that use your helicopter gunner killstreak and kill everyone on the map upon their respawn.

Nuketown? Pft. Shipment is where it's at.
Terrible map, but how much fun I had with it.

Captcha: Face to face. Indeed.
Hehe... none are as bad as Quarry...<.<

Too large, too confusing to navigate, too many camping spots, way too much clutter, makes it extra hard to see people directly in front of you... so many problems... and it's just not fun... which is a shame because it kind of looks cool...<.<

but than again after Deagle_7K nothing is fun anymore...<.<

The map level Complex in Conduit. The main feature was two tunnels (belong to each team) pointing up toward each other and when you reach to the top, there is an energy shield that block you so no direct battle per say.
Anyway the reason why I hate is that level feel too restricted as the open area around the open top tunnel is small and there's too much wandering about in the underground part. I mean it feel less bout engaging the opposing team and more about wandering.

As many people that have said this, pretty much any map from MW3 are a guarantee for this list. But to say something I know will come up but has only been mentioned once,
METRO on BF3, worst grenade F@#KFEST EVER! They seriously need to patch in another side passage for US to push!

2fort in TF2. The one where you cap the intelligence. Could never stand the layout of that map, it's either Snipers owning your face, Spies being in your spawn or Pyros just being dicks in general.

Also the Dominion map in League of Legends. It's just a circle with 5 capture points on the outside! Not good!

Plus only tanky DPS Champions are viable in that mode, AP bursty casters who only have one round of cooldowns before having to dip out of the fight and supports have no place there.

*enemy team picks Darius*

GG

But at least Evelynn is half viable in that mode, Backdoor Evelynn OP.

Waste Management: It's a very small map with open firing lanes into the middle from all sides, which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that fucking everybody uses the plasma cannon or master-crafted grenades on that map, turning it into nothing but a spam-fest.
I like Waste Management. It's deceptively good for Assault Marines, which I usually play as since I'm a good follower of Sanguinius. Lots of perches and overheads to prowl from.

Manufactorum, though... I do hate that map.

The first part of Strike at Karkand from Battlefield 2 was absolutely awful. Grenade spam up the ass every time it was played.

Highrise from Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3.

It's so easy to fall to your death on that map because of the huge gaps between the jump spots.

Granary in TF2, only map that I hated of the original batch, even Hydro was decent most of the time.
What dont you like about Granary? Relatively good map that has places for all the classes to excel in.

For me its probably cs_oilrig from CS. Just felt way too favoured towards the T's for my liking.

Every map in the Conduit was horrible. They don't know a clue about intuitive map design. The worst was constantly getting stuck on Pentagon with Rockets every single game.

Oh don't remind me of the whole "being in any maps with rockets weapons only". I did liked the maps Sanctum (that map would be suit in other FPS with more players) aand Infirmary but in saying so I haven't played a wide range of FPS.

hmmm... it's hard to pick one, especially when I haven't played all that huge a number of games. I think one of my least favourites has to be....
Surf_Japan. any version of. excluding that one version (v6?) with the really cool secret surf. THAT'S HARDLY A SURF MAP! IT BARELY HAS ANY RAMPS! And what the hell is up with the Danger Danger section?! WHO MADE THIS TURD?
there's another one I play that's infuriatingly difficult but very rewarding when you get it right.
Surf_Legends is quite fun too but I've only played Legends_lite, hell I'm not sure if there even is a full fat version.

Can't say I remember most of the maps, especially the industrial ones. My two favorites are probably Infirmary and that small map in the city with a building in each corner (Downtown?).

Facing Worlds from unreal tournament is supposed to be one of those "classic" maps but I think it's insanely boring. There's no skill to a flag cap. It's a straight dash with no branching paths and no cover.
