Jazz, Classical, usually more mainstream Metal (such as Megaeth, Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold), Hip hop, some rap, Electronica, 70's Rock, cheesy rock/metal songs, World and Folk
It's more difficult because so many people recommends me stuff I can't stand and I despise most music channels or radios but I'd rather ave to put up with it then listen to some of the bile that is released

Seriously. I'm very tolerant of music in general. I'm a staunch metal head but I can appreciate most things. I even think Lady Gaga is fairly talented because her shit is crazy catchy, if not my thing.

But Brokencyde? It is the worst, most vile thing I have ever heard. It wounded me at my very core.

I mean, a band consisting of 12-14 year olds who're raised to popularity by some record label.

The vocals are off-tune and the drums seem to be quantified (though I saw a video from their gig and the drummer played quite tight, actually).

And if they would have practiced a few years they could have probably even made a decent album, and rise on their own rather than just with a record label.

What...the...fuck. Is the Vocalist a boy or a girl? I honestly can't tell.

I... don't hate this. I'm only at the 7 minute mark, but... it has some plus points. Like the opera rapping, it's better than most English-language rapping. And hell, it's different.

Yeah, it's awful, but it's well made. The opera rapping is very good, though it hurts my ears.

I don't know why I like Slipknot, they seem to have a unique quality which no other metal band seem to possess and Avenged Sevenfold because they make some really cool riffs, solos and fills. ALthough I think they should shut the fuck up when they make the generic metal pieces like "Almost Easy" but I don't understand why so many people don't like Avenged

i would personally say they are better than metallica but not black sabbath

I didn't mention better, I mentioned unique and I was just using them as an example, I love Black Sabbath, Opeth but I've never heard of those others
and since when does a band need to advance a genre to be good?
