Rome... The sights were fine, the weather was fine... and I even got out of Rome to go up to Pompeii and climbed Mt Vesuvius.
Now the bad stuff. The people... I swear, I've never hated being in public as much as I did there, and I have to frequent Birmingham, England on a weekly basis. I had my ass felt on a train, and I'm not sure whether it was just a pervy old man or he was trying to see what I had in my pocket, which was thankfully nothing. In all honesty it was probably a bit of both, since I've never felt so many eyes boring into me. There are beggars everywhere, the prices are extortionate, and the amount of vendors by the Coliseum. They weren't even polite; they were right up in your face, they'd grab you, hound you until you threatened to hit them, and if you walked past them again you'd have to repeat the entire process.
Never again.
