Worst Unlockable Characters

is this a list of the good or bad characters? link, ganondor, samus, ike, lucas, cptn falcon, and shiek are good characters but jigglypuff has been powered down since melee, sonic i just dont like, yoshi, mario and ness are OK and peach is just a complete ***** who i hate, she's really annoying, not just in SSBB but also pretty much every game she's been in, especially Mario Kart, she thinks she's all that when really she's a useless zelda wannabe who... sorry, i'll be quiet now.

That's the "official" tier list. The bottom half. Meta Knight is so far up the top there's talk of banning him in official tournaments.
What should be noted is that the Tiers apply only to the very highest level of play. We're talking insane world championships here, the absolute most that can be squeezed out of these fighters. In the real world, tiers are nonexistant.

I see where you're coming from, but I still find it hard to believe that the best Yoshi player is better than the best Capt. Falcon player. I know he got nerfed in Brawl, but seriously?

Well... it's not QUITE like that. There's matchups to consider as well. I don't know about the HIGHEST level of play but at my level Ness destroys anything DK-sized or greater, yet most of them are higher than he on the list. Different matchups affect the tiers of course, but there'll still be phenomena like DK in Melee being a good match against Fox.
The tiers don't really say anything about any one matchup, they just give a general indication of how well you can expect a given character to do in a tournament, everything else being equal.

That aside, inorite? Lucas lower than Bowser... what gives?

Also, did anybody ever use Ash, the incredibly gay (literally) unlockable boss in Bare Knuckle 3? I tried him once, and he sucked (No jump attack, his special attack was just his regular attack but in a flurry, no throws, couldn't use weapons...need I go on?).

It was "Streets of Rage 3" over here. We didn't have Ash but we did have Roo and Shiva. Shiva was freakin' awesome, apart from not being able to use weapons but still being able to pick them up if you stood on one and pressed "attack" by mistake (practically the only way you could realistically expect to die as Shiva was if you kept picking up and putting down a weapon accidentally) but Roo gets my vote for worst unlockable character anywhere. The only thing he could actually do was jump - his attacks were ridiculously low-ranged and low-powered.

I agree about Shiva, but it was called Streets of Rage 3 over here too in the UK. I just prefer the japanese version.

Unusable is definitly the worst unlockable feature. For that reason my vote is for Tekken 3 Dr. B.

At least he had decent theme music. But unusability is inexcusable, especially when you can be defeated by Pandad simply sitting on you.

The worst unlockable character ever was Boo in SSB for Gamecube. Seriously, it takes forever to get him and then he doesn't even really work once you have him.

please explain how in the hell you can get Boo in super smash bros.

anyway, I was disappointed with all the unlockable characters in Force Unleashed, though massacreing stormtroopers as a stormtrooper is hilarious.

Olimar from SSBB. i just don't like him. i not too bad with him, i can hold my own in a match but i dont think he a very character and his moves mostly suck

Olimar's a starting character
I've always found him to be extremely fun to play. Then again I'm drawn to the more unusual characters like Ness or Olimar.

He's a starter? shows how much attention i pay. Ness is good but i prefer Lucas. would it cause mayhem if i said i didn't like Sonic in it?

I'm torn between Ness and Lucas. I LOVED Ness in Melee, and he's changed quite a bit in Brawl. I mostly use Random
Nah, I don't get Sonic, but my friend is a beast with him.

It's distressing how good I got with Sonic the more I used him (and considering I only get to play Brawl at my friends' places). Like constant using and in 4 on 4 all items on sorta-deal. I used to have Link as my main, but when I play Brawl, it's pretty much Sonic as my main then Marth. Perhaps Link if I'm feeling like it. But they really slowed him down from the first game.

Are you kidding! Roo's charging super move where he does a nose-slide into a backspin does a ridiculous amount of damage (especially if they block first)! I think they may have toned it down in SoRIII It's similar to Max's charging thunder attack in SoRII. Shiva and Roo are almost polar opposites in that Shiva's standard attacks are powerful but his super moves are weak, whereas Roo's standard attacks aren't much but his supers lay down a world of hurt.

Because he's a fucking demon if you get his damage percentage high enough. Seriously, grab the Smash ball with your damage around 150%, you will destroy everyone. My second most played character after Meta Knight

I've never played the Japanese version but have heard that in many ways it's better.

I remember my roommate in college spotting someone 9 points in a best of 10 (the other person was forced to play as Jaws, though)....he won on a 10-0 skunk in 1 hit kill mode.

i thought that julia from power stone 2 reall sucked. you had to beat the adventure mode with every one and all you get a person who is incredibly weak, doesn't really transform,and her special attack (she only has one, every one else has two) doesn't do any thing.
