Worst Video Game Endings

As much as I liked Fable II, the ending was bad. Either be the selfless hero, get back something you can get back with DLC, or have a ton of money didn't seem like a real choice

KOTOR 2 or Neverwinter Nights 2.

KOTOR 2, there's sort of an excuse, Lucas Arts gave Obsidian hardly a year to get the game out (right after the first one) and alot of content had to be cut.

But NWN2's ending was just, awful. Terrible, makes everything you did in the game seem pointless. The expansion at least retconned some of it though.

Yeah, they added a little bit to KOTOR 2 when they released it for PC. they added some stuff that was close but not quite ready for the rushed console release. Just about everything that was wrong with that game was because it was rushed.

NwN2 crashed for me at the end, right at the part where you have your whole party, and some of them turn on you. thats as far as I made it. I didnt care for the soul-eater mechanic, so I never got far in the expansion. SoZ had no story, so I didnt get far with that either. I just started downloading mods and playing PWs.


The game that I think had the worst ending was Command and Conquer 4. That ending was just a big slap in the face. Pretty much on the same level as "It was all a dream."

I managed to get the majority of the way through GTAIV and Halo 2, and just..yeah, why'd I even play the game if I wasn't even going to have a grand ending?

Originally I was putting Darksiders on the list, but the terrible part was the last Boss, and design of the main guy, not the ending. I would have wanted to see what came after that.

Putting the Deleter plot hole aside, they hyped a battle with mother brain ever since the reveal trailer and what do we get? Queen metroid (which was pretty decent), and after that, on the confrontation with MB.... WE just need to lock on her.

a few years back, my friend had Ben 10 for the Wii (we were still kids). It played okay, we go into the alien storge unit, fight a bunch of guys and... It plays a cutscene of them wondering how they're gonna get out... roll credits... we raged so hard.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE ENDING. They basically lead you on with the hope that at the end you will be revealed all the mysteries with the game's plot and will be left satisfied. NOPE. They basically just create one HUGEASS plothole and expect you to take it and leave.

Parasite Eve has never been good on endings, or final boss fights..

So true, they didn't even leave you any choice. I didn't want that option, the love interest (forgot her name) was meant to be sacrificed and she was okay with that. I was like whyyyy, why can't I even make a choice?

it makes a good meme but I was disappointed by both endings in that game I hope they make a sequel so they can continue the story of Edward Carnby.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Aside form the lulzworthy meme, it's pretty disappointing.

Worst offender for me was the ending of Dreamfall: The Longest Journey.

I was literally sitting in front of the PC for 5 straight minutes, trying to comprehend what I've just seen. It wasn't exactly BAD per se, but so unbelievably hanging on the cliff I literall couldn't believe it ended in such a way.

Oh man, those "not perfect" endings to Persona 4 were freakin' depressing. Luckily I got the perfect one my first time through but I checked out the other ones later on Youtube and I got very sad...
