The mortar launcher in Worms Armageddon (And probably all other Worms games). Incredibly hard to hit with due to its automatically firing at full power, and it's damge only comes from the five smaller bombs it ejects when it lands, and they spread out so much that it's unlikely you'll hit much with it.
Actually there was a trick with it on most versions of the 2d game. If there was no wind in a round you could jump on top of a worm, fire the mortar directly up (this got removed in later versions of the game) and jump before the thing came down. Normally did clear over 60 damage with each hit. In one the latest 2d versions they nerfed it by breaking the perfect 90 degree angle aim.
Well I know in W:A the Mortar isn't even affected by wind. I always thought it was... Maybe they changed it in an update.

I still see it as a useless weapon. However, not NEARLY as useless as the mole bomb... God DAMN that should not have been classed as a 'super weapon'.

Of course, you are right. I remember why the trick worked now! It's certainly been a while. Me and my brother discovered the trick and then I busted it out against a friend with the following result:

"Okay, another dragon punch off the the cliff? ... Why are you standing on me? Mine? ... Mortar? No one uses those things? ... Wtf!?!? ARGH!"

The molebomb was absolutely pointless.

Another mortar use was on cavern maps with huge bridges. Fire the mortar up into the celling and the 5 clusters would send mines and worms sliding around with much hilarious, unpredictable damage.

Amongst my friends, we'd often joke that the Klobb in Goldeneye actually heals your target. The Halo 2/3 Pistols were pretty bad, too. Sure the pistol was OP in the first Halo, but they went a little too far in nerfing it. I remember we tested dual-wielding pistols once (in Halo 2), and it took a full clip from both weapons with perfect accuracy to just barely kill someone on the last bullet.

The MIRV in Fallout 3. Damnit, Mini-Nukes are hard to find, I'm not wasting EIGHT of them in one hit. And when are you EVER going to need eight nukes?
When you have a kill kids mod on in little lamplight.
I wish I had one. The whole point of Little Lamplight was designed to torment players. The citizens were so freaking annoyning, yet you were helpless to incur wrath upon them. At least make them act like you're an alien, and they're somewhat intrigued, rather than act like a complete jerk to all adults (there are exceptions, of course). Mayor McCready is the most annoying one there.

But I have the PS3 version.
If its any consolation, you can bully Princess and make her cry... however there is nothing in the game that will bring McCreedy down a notch as far as I can tell...

I wonder can you zap him with the mesmotron and send him off to paradise falls? I'm trying that when I get home!

Quantum Theory where you throw a girl as a weapon and then the game is stupid enough to make you pick her up while being shot at by multiple enemies.

The needler. It might just be me, but it's kinda hard to hit someone with bullets that move at 10 mph and only home in from 15 feet away.
Dual Needlers in Halo 3 kicked ass. Went on kill streaks with them ALL THE TIME.

Snub Pistol from gears of War series I'm not sure why the COG issues these shitty pistols to their gears. I rather have the Locust Boltok revolver or Kantus Gorgan machine pistol those guns actually do damage while the Snub pistol does jackshit

snip
I disagree. Yeah, the boltok and gorgon were better, but the Snub was not at all useless. When active reloaded, I've taken down many many people with it.

BIO RIFLE.

(original UT, they made it more useful later.)
Haha, I prefer the UT99 bio-rifle to any incarnation of the flak cannon. I can't use that thing for SHIT!

Considering that post was from 2 years and 6 months ago, allow me to retract my statement - the UT'99 Biorifle kicks ass if you know how to use it!

I still maintain that I was better with the Flak cannon, since it felt like an extension of my arm, and once you get the leading of your target down, it's very very effective at close to mid range. :D

Getting kills with the biorifle is quite rewarding imo. It's definitely one of the least used weapons. But the flak cannon is so high-risk/high reward even from mid-range. Given the choice, I would use the pulse gun, minigun or rockets and some corners over the flak at mid-range. I really hate it when I get the jump on someone completely and then miss 4 times in a row with the flak primary and get killed >_< Do you still play UT99?

Weapon choice and positioning is/was one of the most important aspects of combat in UT99, and I usually used the pulse secondary or flak secondary at midrange, rockets/flak at closerange, and the minigun primary/sniper-rifle at long range. The biorifle is very good situationally, but I felt that other weapons overshadowed it. I don't play much UT99 online much anymore, but I do boot it up for a few rounds vs. bots occasionally.

The lazer guard that the Imperial Guard's infantry uses, I mean sometimes it looks like it's not even hurting the giant chaos army heading towards my guardsmen.

Because its not. The lasrifle is about as strong as harsh language when it comes to taking down enemies. Scratch that, at least harsh language can hurt their feelings.
