The beggars in Oblivion. Why do you change voice between sentences? It makes no sense! Grrr
That's not actually the actor's fault. Lines are recorded one at a time with little or no context, so it's the director's job to tell the actors how they fit together and the programmer's job to make sure it happens smoothly. I'm betting Oblivion didn't even have a vocal director, so there you go.

OT, I nominate Mark Meer. He's not actually that bad in comparison to the rest of this thread, but as the MAIN CHARACTER in such an incredibly polished series as Mass Effect, he really stands out.

Urkel as Sonic the Hedgehog
Had to check because I thought that was in a game or something. Turns out it was the old TV show. Worried me there for a moment.
Would I surprise you even more if I told you that Roger Craig Smith(the voice of Ezio in AC2) is becoming the new voice of Sonic, starting with Sonic Colors??

You can kind of hear him here..kind of...

But, back on topic....I would have to agree with Geralt from the Witcher..I liked him at first, but he has no emotion...at all...

And back onto the other topic...I actually prefer the English Dub of anime for the most part...ya, some might be terrible, but most of it is pretty good, as long as it isn't Shonen.(Hellsing, the Gundam series-except for the Seeds, Cowboy Bebop, just to name a few)

Jay Franke as JC Denton.

"What a Shame."

"A Bomb!"

So bad it's good.
And aside from those 2? He did a pretty good job as both JC and Paul, i wouldn't call him the worst.

guess my opinions are pretty much covered here.
I know, I was exaggarating :p He was overall very good, I'll agree. The voice acting in that game never really bothered me, aside from one of the female chars at UNATCO (can't rememeber the name..)

Starkiller from Force Unleashed. God damn that guy can't voice act for shit. Every time he opens his mouth immersion goes away in a speed of light. I just hope he improved his voice acting skills for Force Unleashed 2 because I can't fuckin' stand that hideous voice acting of his.

Wow.

I thought Sam Witwer was good - along with most of the other voice cast.

Clearly you need to play yourself some Just Cause 2 and Two Worlds.
I played Just Cause 2. Their voice actors were bad intentionally. It was funny, not irritating. They wanted to make the story like a B action movie. Rico's voice actor isn't bad though. It's actually pretty good. Starkiller on the other hand fails to deliver any believable emotions. They should have found a better voice actor for the second one.

Another one to add to the list is the guy that voiced Vito Scaletta in Mafia 2. So many great voice actors, and then that guy that plays Vito. No passion put into the character, no emotions, nothing. Words that come out of his mouth are shallow and he doesn't make you care about anything that's going on in his life. I couldn't care less if he lives or dies in the end. It's not completely his fault though. Writers didn't really give him a lot to work with.
Compare him to the stellar work of the guy who voiced Joe Barbaro. Now that dude is the best voice actor on the planet. His every word is so in synch with the character it feels like a movie. Every word that comes out of his mouth is in perfect synch with his movements. Now if they had a voice actor for Vito that was half as good as the guy that voiced Joe, Mafia 2 story would feel a lot better.

Huh, I guess that having your caps lock stuck for the title really does work. Here I am, all because of the title.

OT: Resident Evil has some terrible voice acting.

Samus was a little too monotone for my tastes in Other M.

I really wish they could've kept Jennifer Hale. That would be interesting to hear.

I might have to go with Commander Shepard. Giving those endorsements for those Citadel stores in Mass Effect 2 was cringe worthy. Besides him, I would say a large chunk of the Fallout 3/Oblivion cast. Granted, I love all of these games, but they do have some shaky voice acting in them.

Everyone in Fable. I haven't played two or three, but the original had the worst voice acting I've ever seen. Bar none.

Ahahahaha. Man, it was so bad it was good though. The moment I seen the thread title, I remembered ''What is this'' ''It appears to be some sort of mansion." "CHRIS, WHERES CHRIS?"
"I'll give this to you, the master of unlocking."

The guy who plays Spike Spegal, he's not really bad I'm just tired of hearing him in every damn game I play and any anime I watch. He's in EVERYTHING and his voice is always the same.

I also despise him for a reason that's not his fault, my ex-girlfriend would turn up the volume and tell me to shut up whenever the voice actor talked.

Well the most recent one would be whoever voiced Samus in Metroid: Other M, I can't even tell if the writing or the voice acting is worse.

But the one seated in my memory is from a game I don't remember it's name (some space stuff), but I do remember how bad the voice acting was, it was clearly done by people who couldn't care less (the indifference in their voices made you want to strangle them) and to top it all off the guys didn't understand what A.I. means so they just read it as AL (like Al Bundy), just a horrific package.
I finished the game merely to laugh at the voice acting.

I was about to post something similar. The entire cast of both ME and ME2 deliver a sterling performance, but then you get Mark Meer saying something supposedly threatening in a way that forcefully jars me out out any immersion as I try to stop giggling. If somebody threatened me like that in real life I would probably have the same reaction.

If you put him in a game like Halo where nobody actually has a personality, he would eclipse the rest. But compared to everybody else in ME, especially Jennifer Hale, he is weak. It's sad, as it means if I play as a male Shepard I have to turn the sound off if I want to stay immersed.

And I wanted to actually enjoy the romance scene with Tali, not flinch through his lines... :(

You'll get no argument from me. It may have had something to do with voice direction, since I thought he was pretty good as Crashdown on Battlestar Galactica.

Resident Evil was ALMOST so bad it was good...........almost.

Bolo Santosi. Just like Yahtzee said. Intentionally annoying IS STILL ANNOYING! Seriously if I ever meet someone who pronounces "comrade" as "com-raid" I will rip out their vocal chords.

Also I think nearly every character from the Halo series had horrible voices. Not just horrible voices, but the actual words they say are annoying too. Cortana and Master Chief are the worse.

Also every character in Oblivion. Excluding Lucien Lachance, the Emperor, Haskill and Sheogorath.
