I does not matter how "well" Hitler ran his country, he morally bankrupted it. He may have good things for the "Germans" of Germany but every one else saw value of life go down the tubes. He was a horrible leader, did he turn around an economy? Yes, but the ends do not justify the means.

As for other horrible leaders, well Caligula, Nero, and Jimmy Carter come to mind. Oh and Obama, just kidding. He hasn't done anything, yet.

Nero - Evil asshole.
Stalin - Trigger happy asshole.
Jimmy Carter - Worst president ever.
Hitler - Ransacked Europe. Murdered entire populations...

Needless to say, his reign didn't last long.

On topic: I'd say George Bush Jr. His handling of the US finances, the wars, his voters, his public speaking.

Sure there are discriminating and Evil leaders, but most of these benifitted their country in a lot of ways, that goes double for Hitler.

In terms of Bad leading/management Bush is definately top of the line. He didn't just fuck over U.S.A, he practically fucked over the world.

Well I think Hitler would top the list.
I wonder how long before someone says George W. Bush?
ur wrong with hitler, for germany he was if not the greatest leader for that country, he brought them back from bankruptcy and from being a third world country to controlling almost all of Europe so saying hes the worst world leader u r wrong, but if u r sayign the evil things he has done then yes he would top the list
Yes, but he lead the country into an incredibly destructive war, and invaded russia against near-impossible odds. He also lost world war 2 through his fanatical obsession with conquering russia.

When it comes to lousy management, I'd say any of the Soviet post-Khruschev Soviet leaders could beat George Bush Jr one-handed. A heap of incompetent lazy dumb fartbags, they were.

Certainly not Hitler. Yes, he did horrible things, but he was a talented leader.

As far as sheer incompetence goes, King Louis XV of France is pretty high on the list.

The title says it all. Who do you think was the worst leader of any country in any time period?
I'm not sure if this has been done before. I checked and didn't find anything so probably not.
My choice is Hitler for obvious reasons.
You and a few others seem to believe that committing genocide automatically makes one a bad leader. I can assure that it does not. The act of committing genocide makes one a bad humanitarian; however being able to convince an entire country to support it takes an extremely effective leader. The fact that Hitler actually managed to get hold of, and stay in power on a campaign of hate and intolerance is, in my opinion, evidence of being a very good leader. Don't get me wrong, Hitler was an evil son of a *****, but his leadership skills were legendary.

Maximillian Robespierre, now there's a bad leader.
For referencing the French Revolution you've gained +3 to the Respect stat. I'll have to agree with you; Robespierre should have at least considered his dissenters opinions instead of having them all killed.

I don't get all of this hate towards Hitler. It's not like the Allies were any better during WW2. Plus Stalin got a lot more people killed but since he was one of those who won the war, I guess it doesn't matter in the history books, eh?

Hitler was quite talented and rose Germany from downfall into something great for a while. He wasn't the best when it came to warfare maybe. Even Stalin was quite effective in what he did. Yeah, it's horrible, but it worked and Soviets became the second superpower after WW2.

Please Enlighten us, friend. If the term "Third World" is not synonymous with the words "undevelopped" or "poor", as you put it, then what precisely DOES it mean.

Jean Chrétien
Oh come on, when he got hit with the pie it was epic. Better then Trudeau though in the 'plays well with others' category.
Oh helllll no you didn't.

Trudeau is the greatest leader Canada has ever had, and is unlikely to be surpassed any time soon.
He never said Trudeau was a bad leader, he only marked upon the fact that Chrétien got along with others better than Trudeau.
