Any zombie movie on the Sci-Fi channel. In fact, any movie on the Sci-Fi channel. (I'm talking about the home-grown stuff, not DotD and actual movie movies)

And NO, teaching zombies to wield AND fire guns isn't something that makes a good zombie film. If it were supposed to be some form of parody then maybe I could let it slide, but it wasn't.
BrainDead (NOT DeadAlive! Stop fecking calling it that, damn name-changers) is a great film IMO. As it goes through several genres (slight romance, zombie comedy then gore filled survival horror) which displays Jackson's passion for writing a film that dares to dare. Not his new technique of directing some crap that was written aaaaaaaaaaaages ago and thinking he did a good job because he could choke a giant gorilla with his wallet.
And finally, I know the thread is about crap zombie films but I'd like to give 28 Days Later a mention for being awesome. Although I haven't bothered with the American sequel because frankly, you guys always fuck things up when you decide to convert/continue/remake stuff made elsewhere.
They should just change the front cover to something with tits on to appeal to the intended new audience.

Had it not been enough, I would have taken his English-ass outside and handled things the way our forefathers did. DANCE-OFF!

It's about some kind of alien "thingy" living in a metal pod beneath an asylum. And with the worst computer animation i've seen it soars up in one of the patient's nose and makes him a person who knows that he is a zombie, is butt-ugly, and still likes chewing on people. The thing i remembered the most was that when the military was shooting at zombies they zoomed in on a guys gun, showing that there was no fire coming out of the gun, all he did was faking a recoil. No wonder why the zombies were hard to kill...

Hey! I didn't bad mouth the American's ability to invent sandwiches AT ALL. In fact, I'd support your point and say if there was an award for great 'pig out' food, the USA would win EVERYTIME!zombielifecoach post=18.69882.676867 said:Woah! Woah! Woah, there cowpoke. A Dance off? Between a (presumably white) American guy and a whiter than white English guy? That would be like watching a real shitty zombie film in itself!zombielifecoach post=18.69882.676917 said:Had it not been enough, I would have taken his English-ass outside and handled things the way our forefathers did. Dude! Don't put "dance-off" and "zombie" in the same sentence! You'll give some fruitcake an idea. Next thing you know, EVERYBODY is suffering through, 'DANCEZOMBIES: Requiem' starring Nick Cannon. Then we ALL lose, my friend. We all lose...dannydamage post=18.69882.676981 said:Hey! I didn't bad mouth the American's ability to invent sandwiches AT ALL. Sorry to be THAT GUY, but to be technical (if such a thing exists regarding zombies) then a zombie SHOULD be slow and well, dead. Seeing as they're meant to be the dead reanimated accidentally normally with toxic waste, or via the bite of a spider monkey that raped all the other monkeys - hehe.zombielifecoach post=18.69882.676961 said:Ahhh, an arguement as old as time itself... 'Zombies. Fast or Slow?' I'm with you. I like my Zombies shambling. Maybe a weeeee bit pluckier, if he carbed up the night before.
Romero didn't think of them as Zombies because back then the only "zombies" were the ones enslaved by Voodoo curses. He called them Ghouls. The zombie name came later. If Romero (and co.) did their research then they should have the more intelligent/faster beings as 'Revenants' as they are brought back intentionally by someone who will give them a task, or series of tasks to complete.

Obviously they weren't zombies in 28 days Later, they were people exposed to a virus that amplified rage, but the film(s) still fit in the zombie genre anyway.
Not saying my point is right or wrong, I'm just pointing at the history/mythology/lore of undead beings.

That was a major issue I had with 'Land of the Dead'. The zombies started remembering things, in some cases even return to practice what they did before dying. Not to jump on the nitpick train, but as the brain slow broke down over time they should remember less, and become more instinctually feral. Not problem-solving and taking revenge.
