With all the same knowledge I have now? Hell yes, I would. There's a lot I would do in just the same way, of course, but there are a couple of things I'd do very, very differently... like most of high school, plus starting earlier on building the skills I'm now building for the career I want. And being a better person, too (or at least pretending).

It would be odd, though, navigating through the currents of life to find my girlfriend... again. Who would know nothing about me, although I would know everything about her. Huh - that one might be tough.

OT: Yeah, if only because I keep remembering frustrating fuck ups that literally zone me out for five minutes at a time thinking about them.
You too? Gods below, I thought I was alone. I HATE that. Being paralyzed by the six year-old memory of that time I accidentally told that one roommate of mine she wasn't hot, or physically flinching at the memory of something stupid I said back when I was like 15 - I could do without that.

Yes. Without doubt, I would redo my life.

It's not that I've made any major mistakes it's just that I've made so many little ones, and each tiny mistake I've made just wedges itself in my head and drive me crazy. Not only that but all the opportunities I've missed, all the times I could have spent on more productive things.

So yes, I would redo my life in a heartbeat.

It's a pity that there is no emoticon for a wistful smile...
It is. I mean there is one for Kirby. <( '.' )^

Anyways, I was reading and I found a quote that says, "No matter how long you live, the first twenty years of your life will seem the longest."

I don't know. Probably. I don't particularly have a lot of regrets but being 21 years smarter than everyone else throughout childhood would certainly give me a huge edge. Plus I would have more time to learn and develop skills (for example at this point in time I would have collectively 18-20 years of guitar under my belt as opposed to 6)

Here's the thing: If you go back with the knowledge you know right now, then fix some problems i your life, chances are more problems will appear because of the fixed problems. Yes, it's complicated, but time travel is some complicated stuff.

For me I wouldn't, because my life has been virtually perfect so far.

Yes. I think when you get older (I am 36) you start to reflect more on what might have been. If you had asked me this same question at 20...I would have said no...that I am who I am and changing the past would be unfair/immoral. I used to take the Temporal Prime Directive to heart, but after bearing the scars of my bad decisions and traumas...the TPD can *expletive deleted* :)

If, as in a game the world would be reset, sure. If it means unnecessary mourning for some I know, and redrawing my luck in the places and times in the world I could have been born, no.

well i'd want to know quite a few more things before i did that reset, mostly personal stuff, if i could somehow make sure i met my current girlfriend about 10 years ago i'd be very content.

(i guess that's kind of lame maybe)

also if i knew i could just redo my life i would start experimenting with stuff like mad now.
just to increase my overall experience level, also there would be no consequenses for all of my current actions.

No, I wouldn't. I've already been through, in my opinion, far too much pain and suffering to cope with, and I'd hate to have to go through it all again.

I sure would and would do a couple of things over.

Id seek out all my friends from my past life and be friends with them, get home schooled.
Id stop wasting time on dead end jobs and really hit college hard.
Id steal the idea of Facebook before it was invented and live off that.

No.

It would undermine my current existence right now. I wouldn't have nearly the same amount of appreciation for life and the lives of those around me if I didn't make a certain number of mistakes, had a certain amount of accidents, got into a certain amount of fights or arguments, got approached by certain people, or anything else that shaped me into the person I am today. Hitting the restart button, regardless of retaining intelligence or wisdom, will cause those current events to vanish into nothing. As a result, my character would vanish into nothing as my beliefs have no basis.

People are not meant for do-overs or perfection. Flaws. mistakes and failures are prime motivators for positive influence and success.

Not really, because I don't think I wanna repeat 18 years of my life, and knowing everything in school wouldn't be fun, even if I could get higher grades (mine were high enough) because part of going to school is the joy of learning new things and "evolving". That said, I have ONE regret that bothers me every day. And that's not telling that special girl what I thought of her when I had the chance, now it's, for all I know, too late. And her boyfriend is one of my friends (she is too of course) so I can't attempt to end it between them, because I'm not like that, even if a small part of me wants to. All one can do is hope, but even that feels wrong...

Oh gosh, no. I'm very, very thankful for my life and for who I am. Even the bad stuff.
