WoW: Cataclysm Class Changes Coming This Week

I don't know why, but instead of making WoW interesting for me again, the whole 'makeover' business has put me off completely, and I'm fairly certain that this time the game has lost me for good. Well, at least I managed to get one character to level 80, so I guess I got some of my money's worth out of it. ^^

I can already predict that they will buff the Rogue (for the millionth time), debuff the Mage (for the millionth time), like they do in every update.

My name is Samsonguy, and I am a cured WoW addict. I feel a bit of remorse that I will be missing the big change, but my time with Azeroth is done, and I will be moving on to other pastures....like space!
Focus sounds like a nice change for hunters, but at the risk of sounding cynical, people will be over the changes before Cataclysm even starts and it will just be the same ol thing. Rogues gank, Paladins squish, and Druids are forgotten. And Mages will still be taxis:

Mages, the howitzer of the classes, able to tear apart the world if they so wanted...and what do people want them for? A quick trip to Dalaran. Can't get no respect!

Bout time they removed paladins.

I enjoyed the pally, dont be hatin the Pally, he will blast you with wholy light and hit you over the head with a hammer.

Or just run off in a cry of righteous fury, leaving the party alone to deal with everything else. I be hatin the pally, and I have a hard head to deal with his hammer.

As long as they don't have to press more than two buttons in combat I'm sure the Paladin community will be fine.

I'll have the check out the new World of Warcraft soon enough. Been awhile since I had a crack at my Troll Shaman, this looks like the perfect opportunity.

Cool! I'll be interested to know what changes are on the way for my Warlock and Death Knight- hopefully Blizzard has found a way to fix paladins, give mages the tools they need to be really successful again, and fine-tune everything else.

Interesting. I played a warrior through BC when it was good and WotLK when it wasn't as good. Actually prot was hella fun in Wrath, but I didn't like the dps. Anyway that rage normalizing and removal of "on next swing" attacks is pretty cool. I'd love to try it if I didn't give WoW up FOREVER! *shifty eyes*

You are insane. Being able to reserve the hearthstone for locations near dailies and still being able to go to main towns. Epic. Same with the food. Saves me bag space.

I'll take being a taxi over that any day. You can always /ignore if you need to. Plus 10g tips for little effort aren't bad either.

I don't have any problem with the teleport spell its the portal spell I've got a problem with. The 10g tips don't really bother me I've got enough gold as it is.

I just refuse to be the taxi/waterboy, hell there was a point when I was being picked for raids, not for the damage I did (which was generally top of the charts in the guild I was in) not because I know what I was doing (which I did) but because I was the only Mage in the guild and they needed someone who could create portals and conjure food.

So I say no more!

This might just turn me back to a WoW player. But then I think back of the grey times between level 10-40, and I go back and play Final Fantasy XIII.
