I've run out of music to listen to.

I'd like some more, but I don't know where to find it.

Based on the following tracks, can The Escapist (That's you) recommend more music that I'll like?

[a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsp3_a-PMTw"] Supermassive Black Hole[/a] by Muse,

[a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTD2lKew4iI"] Path[/a] by Apocalyptica,

[a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=It3m5JoDgVI"] Wrought[/a] by Peratus,

[a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z29Rk8814w"] BigBlueDress[/a] by Cranius (who is a World of Warcraft Machinimator)

More Muse! Get Origin of Symmetry. New Born is brilliant.
I actually have a lot of Muse already, including New Born; I just chose the four in my original post as my personal favourites of the music that I have. Thanks for the help though :)

'Tis a great song. I found Take A Bow is a great song, too.

And just pick up more Apocalyptica. And probably some Dream Theater.

Anything off Octavarium.
After listening to the full 27 minutes of the Octavarium title song, I can't decide whether or not I like it. There are some excellent parts, but I think it changes too much throughout to be consistently awesome. I'll listen to some other songs from Octavarium first before I make a judgement though.

Any of Apopclyptica's instrumental stuff is good. Try their self-titled album. It's hit or miss, but the one's that hit are very good IMO.
Haven't heard of the other bands listed. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Dream Theater, just because they rule.
Muse, Muse, and more Muse (as said above), because they also rule.

Really, music such as Lux Vivens, Dragonforce and some other stuff which escapes me at the moment, have been really good to me. I don't if this is exactly what you are looking for but this is the recent music that makes me happy. Hope it helps!

Jesus people, he posted a Muse video so half you guys recommended MORE Muse? Come on folks you can do better than that, surely.

Here's some stuff I think you should listen to. You might like some of it, maybe. Be warned - may be "different".

Well, when it comes to Octavarium (The Dream Theater album, right?) I only know 'Panic Attack'. It's a great song, though.

To everyone in this post who suggested Dream Theater, I have done (a lot of - why are all their songs so long?) listening to assorted Octavarium tracks, and the result is... I found myself trying to convince myself that I liked it, and I have found that in any situation, that isn't a good sign. I think the problem may be that I don't like the way that James LaBrie sings in all of their songs. While I don't mean that the singing is bad, I simply don't enjoy listening to his voice very much. Otherwise their songs are excellent.

Thank you for making an effort like this, though I'm afraid they were a little too 'different' for my liking. Also, the third and fifth links apparently can't be viewed in my country (which is the UK), so I didn't get to hear them.

I think that what I perhaps should have mentioned in the OP is that I tend to prefer songs (still alive being the exception here) which... sort of... hammer the tune into me with an unnecessarily loud guitar. This is a similarity between the four songs I originally referred to, except for path, of course, which uses cellos to the same effect.

Octavarium was not DT's best album, at least not IMO.
Try listening to their new album, "Black Clouds and Silver Linings" or one of their best, "Metropolis Prt 1". Both are great albums.
