I would like to propose that it isn't the world that is fucked up, but that our idea of a perfect world is retarded (meaning that our perception is wrong, not the events themselves).Wiezzen said:The world has always been messed up. Have you been living under a rock?
Media tends to focus on the exception rather than the rule. Why? Because it's the eceptional and unusual which is interesting. If you picked up the paper, watched TV or read an online magazine that said "today, over 99.9% of the population got along quite well, and large regions of the country were embroiled in non-violent situations", that wouldn't be very interesting....Indecizion said:ok so yeah something im noticing that there are alot of messed up things happening over the last few months, women stabbing sons who wont get off xbox's, criminals being caught because of stopping to play a DS instead of fleeing the crime scene, men stabbing kids to death because of tony hawk. does this sort of thing tend to happen regularily and its just because ive only just started REALLY using the forums, or is this truly as messed up as im thinking it is.
