I built my immediate shelter into a little cave, and erected a small wooden door to prevent the worst of Hell's minions battering their way in (somehow). Shortly thereafter, a Creeper found its way to my little maison de grotte and stood outside of my door, hopping up and down like a toodler on a sugar rush. I made the mistake of moving too close to my door in an attempt to smite the little green bugger, but surely enough his fuse lit, and - more than aware of the Creeper's well-earned reputation for fucking everybody's shit right up - I retreated far into my cave.
BANG.
I returned, expecting the worst, but much to my surprise the Creeper's legendary 4x4x4 explosion... had destroyed my door, a single block beneath where it had stood, and nothing else.
What the hell?

Death charges from roof tops, into water, or down elevator shafts. It happened to me yesterday actually. I was playing as a charger, and had the perfect set up. No lag was to be found that day and it was glorious. I charge Francis, I hit him, but he doesn't go over with me. The charger, literally, pushes Francis directly to the right, instead of forward to his death. He rolled right off me even though I was directly in front of him, as if I were slippery. Must be all the infected goo.*raspberry* That was one of my more recent w.t.f moments.

There's a bit in Far Cry 2 where a guy is actually INSIDE a rock, with his limbs poking out. He can shoot at you still, but you cant always hit him, what with him being 'one' with an unshootable thing.
I also find it funny when the AI gets stuck in a corner and just faces a wall for a bit. You are wandering around, making loads of noise because you think everyone is dead, and you suddenly go "whoa! where did you come from?" as he continues to face the wall. Then you shoot him and laugh. Maniacally.

The most recent moment for me was yesterday. I was replaying Grand theft Auto IV, went out on my firs date with Kiki. I had not dated her in my original play through. As I got out of the taxi I had taken to drop her home, a bloody limo comes along from nowhere, squashes Niko against the side of the taxi and sends him careening to the ground with a smear of blood. I seriously said WTF.
Yeah, especially with a weapon that fires supersonic rounds. Both films and games have spread this idea that silencers will magically make a weapon silent, which is a little far from the truth.Pingieking said:
