Playing UFC undisputed 2010; in one match when I initiated the clench the fighters began to be pulled apart slowly by their feet while still trying to hold onto one another. It looked like they were being sucked into black holes on opposite sides of the screen. Once they had been pulled far enough that they were no longer touching, but still reaching out to each other with all of their might, they began to shake, convulse, twist, and flop around in grotesque, impossible positions.

My biggest WTF moment in gaming is when I discovered that at least 5 hours of Xenogears involved people sitting in a chair followed by a boss battle, only to go back to the chair.

That might've been one of the most boring segments of any RPG I've ever played.

Fable 2.

Using my mighty magic, sword and, blunderbuss, I am able to slay scores of Balverines, Bandits and, Hobbes...but I can't kill any children, chicken or, my dog! What the hell!? At least my good lady wife can give me children...well...child. *Sigh* I wanted to start a family-band like The Osmonds but, how many 3-people bands ever made it big!? Don't answer that...

Dead Rising

How come that one bite turns Frank but the untold millions before did nothing?

First time I encountered the penis monster in Silent Hill 3. And when you get the super yelling power in Condemned 2.

By the way, since there's been a lot of talk of MGS2, it reminded me of the fact that during the naked Raiden section where the game demands that you shut it off, my friend actually turned off his console...

A little of topic, I was spared a WTF? moment when playing the MGS games. I'd played Three first so when I'd swapped from Solid to Raiden I took it in stride, figuring changing characters is far for the course (which it is wor MGS.)

"I must destroy Revan!"
"No, PC you are Revan"
And then KOTOR was a very well-written game.

Legion taking on Harbinger and the Collectors by himself and winning.

HOMMV - I love that game but it is more commong to find ridiculous spelling mistakes than actual words. I'm not talking about a couple of little things, I mean the subtitles look like someone has slammed their face on the keyboard repeatedly.

The spawning glitch in AC2. A hundred archers spawned on a rooftop (nearly crashing my PC) and then fell off into the river and onto the street - all dying hilariously.

The Havok physics in Oblivion. Especially when using a Staff of Storms on the sheep outside Skingrad. Hit them just right and they are catapulted several hundred metres away with ridiculous ragdolling.

Tavion from Jedi Academy (in the multiplayer maps). She just LOVES running off those cliffs.

I just remembered one. I was having fun playing True Crime: Streets of LA, when, suddenly, I found myself in a lava pit fighting a dragon demon made of smoke and molten rock.

...oO...

What in God's name?

I don't think I have ever been so baffled by a game's sudden and inexplicable departure from reality. Seriously. There was literally no build up to this and no warning within the context of that game to tell me I would suddenly be switching from a hybrid of COPS and GTA to fighting the great Balrogs of Middle Earth. I...I don't even...
