WTF? moments.

Recently while playing Killer 7 for the first time, i encountered my first "Heaven Smile", who charged me, laughing while i filled him full of lead untl he exploded in blood and laughter. I just stared at the screen and yelled "WHAT THE F*CK." So my question to you my fellow Escapists, what is your biggest WTF?!? moment you have had in gaming?

Hmm...the most recent would have to be the start of Assassin's Creed 2. Opening the game with a screaming lady and your character popping out as a still wet baby is pretty jarring. Desmond had about the same opinion.

The ending is definitely up there, too. Desmond even says it himself.

I have such fond memories of that section. "Raiden, turn off the console! You've been playing for hours."
I'm gonna take another example from that series and say most parts of MGS4 that have Laughing Octopus in them. She freaked me out. I don't know whether it was seeing a woman with Snake's face, or the constant laughter but something was deeply wrong with that character.

I have such fond memories of that section. "Raiden, turn off the console! You've been playing for hours."

I had in fact been playing almost non stop till I got to that point, Half asleep, at three in the morning, after (roughly) twelve hours of playing then the madness starts, I get a few codec messages that don't make much sense but I write it off as sleep deprivation "I'll just get through here and I'll save" then that particular call happens, I genuinly freaked out!
I was utterly convinced that I had cracked and that I was seeing and hearing things.

I had two WTF?! moments in New Vegas today, without the use of "Wild Wasteland".

First one was when I first got to Nipton, exploring the houses in the area. After I entered one towards the back of town, I heard the lovely sound of a Mister Gutsy shout something at me the moment the game loaded the house interior. I was then met with a faceful of flames. Lovely.

The second one was when I was heading to Ranger Station Charlie. (I think, it's the one on the way to Nipton.) I was ambushed by three Viper Gunslingers, a little bit tough considering I was low on ammo and what not. Then, presumably from the ranger station down the road, about 2 or 3 NCR troopers rock up, mow down the Vipers, then run off up the road towards...something I couldn't see. While handy, it was weird that three NCR troops just came from nowhere, killed the people I was fighting then just ran off again.

I saw that coming from nearly the start, by dantoine I was convinced by the time I was captured I had convinced myself I was letting my imagination run away with me and then boom!
I was more shocked by the fact I saw it coming to be honest.

If so:
Red Dead Redemption, My mate and I were messing about seeing what we could get away with, well we decided to see if we could rob a train, after a bit we figured we'd hold up the driver, when he failed to notice we shot him,
What followed is the single weirdest glitch we have ever personally encountered, as we shot John locked his heels together (imagine standing at attention), stretched his left arm straight out to the left, brought his right arm across his chest pointing to his left(put your arm straight forward palm down then bend your elbow reaching for your left shoulder) and flew at high speed across the plains locked in this awkward pose and flew through a mountain before getting stuck in the underworld.

The funniest part was out reaction, but it's kinda a you-had-to-be-there thing.

Yeah...well, at least Joy dies from a massive overdose of pleasure. I...guess? Still not entirely sure.

Anyway, my vote goes to F.E.A.R. 2's ending. I literally beat the game, then had to jump on the internet to figure out what I had just watched. Wow...
