So... XCOM: Terror From the Deep? I'd rather they just make that into a whole new game than what will likely be a disappointingly tiny DLC pack.veloper said:Another cool feature would be underwater levels andthe inclusion of advanced diving suits, so UFOs can actually crash into the ocean and be recovered.
What the fish said.BloatedGuppy said:I love the game, but this DLC pack is everything I *don't* want in DLC. 3 static missions, that are always the same? That can't be turned off? A static "hero" character that I can't rename?
What bone head thought this up?
Many DLC's have been pretty much their own game, just look at the DLC for red dead or GTA.Tuesday Night Fever said:So... XCOM: Terror From the Deep? I'd rather they just make that into a whole new game than what will likely be a disappointingly tiny DLC pack.
I understand that... it's just that they tend to be the exception these days, rather than the rule.daveman247 said:Many DLC's have been pretty much their own game, just look at the DLC for red dead or GTA.
True and this certainly doesnt bode well :/Tuesday Night Fever said:snip
Well, when discussing DLC, the developer said that he wasn't a fan of "Terror from the Deep" and that it would not be something they'd be considering for future content.Tuesday Night Fever said:I understand that... it's just that they tend to be the exception these days, rather than the rule.daveman247 said:Many DLC's have been pretty much their own game, just look at the DLC for red dead or GTA.
I loved Terror From the Deep, possibly even more than the original XCOM, and I really wouldn't want it being turned into a three-mission sidequest. I'd want it to be one of the exceptions to the rule... and judging by today's DLC release, I find myself skeptical of that possibility.
It makes me a sad panda.
Yeah, I know. And frankly, people's dislike toward it is totally justified judging by the most common complaint toward it. The game's difficulty curve was far more unfair than XCOM's, and XCOM's already wasn't particularly fair from the get-go.Iwata said:It might've been purposeful misdirection, but he's not alone in disliking TftD...
$10.65 is the Australian price at least.Ghostwise said:I'm only seeing it for $6.99. Decently priced imo as long as it is actually cool, but who knows....SlaveNumber23 said:Seems pretty overpriced, $10.65 for just 3 new missions and some customization extras? No thanks.
D'you think that that was because of the 'reset difficulty to easy' bug?wombat_of_war said:ive got the strategy guide kicking around in a cupboard and they outright said they made TFTD far more difficult than x-com purely because of complaints from players that x-com was too easyTuesday Night Fever said:Yeah, I know.
