"Crysis 2 offers a fresh, new take on multiplayer," said Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli,

despite the fact that the two game modes in the demo are neither fresh nor new.
And that's precisely why. A team-based shooter, wearing a power suit with abilities, in a moderately open environment. That's about as fresh and new as month-old unwashed dirty laundry. Fresh and new was the AC: Brotherhood multiplayer, wherein you didn't just run around killing everyone, but had to be methodical, calculating, observant, adept, and adaptive, not just skilled in the ways of the rocket-jump, circle strafe, and quick-reload. What's more, the modes themselves are old hat--CTF and Deathmatch? Really? Those are a "fresh, new take on multiplayer"? No, Mr Yerli, they are not.
And why is this on the 360? Yeah, the XBL community loves shooters, but, last I heard, so do the PC community. And, with the necessity of PC requirements, it seems like a demo on the PC would be a better idea, to know if system specs are good enough. A single working build for the 360 and the PS3 would ensure all of them worked, but the PC is whole different beast.
