Boo. They'll probably have to dumb down the graphics so it'll run on consoles!
made the lol :)

in all seriousness though minecraft does seem like a poorly optimized game, i cant play it at all on my laptop which runs rome total war like a champion and allot of people i know who are PC gamer's with good rigs still complain that they get frame rate drop and the draw distance is to short, so i hope the xbox version is better in that regard

I love Minecraft and I think its about time console gamers get to experience it. I do wonder however how controls will be even more so when it comes to combat. Minecraft may not have the most advanced combat but good luck killing a horde of those damn poisonous spiders if it becomes a pain to aim at them.

I've never played Minecraft and I don't intend to.

But then again, I'm a Contrarian...if something is "too popular" I just have an immediate disgust for it.

For instance, I've never had a social media site (Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, etc) and have no intention to. My cell phone is 7 years old. And the phrase Angry Birds makes me want to go pheasant hunting. :p
I've never understood that line of thinking. If you enjoy something just because others do shouldn't put you off. It is good to share your hobbies and interests with others who also enjoy it.
It's tiresome to be part of something. "The Mac community", "have you heard of dubstep", LOL? And so on and so forth.

I'm ashamed to say that I think it's an attitude that's an off-shoot of being a hipster. The difference being that hipsters, for instance, would say "I played Minecraft and was on Facebook before it was cool, now it's too mainstream so I don't like it."

:p I just skip straight to the "It's too mainstream so I don't like it" part.
