Error code 0020 is the "Unknown error" Basically it's saying you units bollocked..

If it's only 2 years old then get it fixed under the 3 year warrenty.

If for some reason you cant send it under warrenty flog it on ebay (people buy rrod 360s for parts)
You can get an arcade if you've already got a hard drive. It's got the new heat sink and HDMI.

If you're in the U.K then check on sainsburys at the weekend, rumour has it they're selling arcade units
for £99 then.

I've gone through 6 360's myself since launch. My last one just RRod'd just three days ago, I think it may be because I have the PS3 and Xbox side by side, my guess is they had a deathmatch...Guess who won?

A friend got his first rrod last week.
It was his 4th or 5th xbox360, but the previous ones were returned because they scratched the discs to the point where they'd give read errors.

Ask Decoy Doctorpus. He just recently fixed his Xbox after it got hit with a RROD. Man, he must be a demigod.

Yeah, and he did it by opening up, putting in a new heatsink, and then PURPOSEFULLY overheating it so it would melt together.

F**king MacGuyver.

Sorry to hear yours died.

The general rule with 360 hardware is the later it was made, the more reliable it is. However I am a big advocate of one of these [http://www.nyko.com/nyko/products/?i=71]. They're a little noisy, but well worth it.
I'll have to shop around for that... their store locator says Circuit City has them.
NO NO NO!! PLEASE don't get one! Oh man. BAD idea. There is a thread floating around about these, but I'll throw my two cents in again:

I used to work at an EB Games (or 'Gamestop' if you aren't in Canada) and we would have systems brought back with these 'coolers' MELTED on the back of them. They don't work. AND they void your warranty. Please, for the love of all things even resembling goodness, don't get one. Just don't.
I concur...these are a big crap-shoot...and I've read more horror stories on how these cause bigger headaches than they do solve.

I've had my Halo Green 20GB almost a year now and so far so good. One thing I did was turn it on its verticle side instead of flat to increase surface area for air flow. I have it in my living room, if I play for a really long time, I have a standard floor fan that I aim at it.

even a single red light can mean a bricked 360.

the RRoD is the most common failure error on the 360, but pretty much any error will cause your 360 to give up its magic smoke.

If your warrenty is already void, there are tutorials online for how to attempt to fix a 360, but for your headaches, you're probably better off buying a new one.

Get a new Arcade for about 200 bucks and just stick your HDD on it. That's my suggestion, my 360 is currently in transit over a E73 error (ethernet bugged out, bricked the whole fucking system)

and I totally feel you on the spending money on new games when your 360 craps out.

The day my HDD crapped out, I had bought Force Unleashed (first day, after having pre-ordered it months ago), and the Orange Box, AND a new HDD.

I didn't get a chance to use any of them (although I had borrowed Orange Box from a friend earlier, but it was so good it needed a buy.)
