Compare that dreamcast controller with the original XBOX controller, before they shrunk it! They're even more similar!Et3rnalLegend64 said:That sorta kinda makes sense. Did anyone realize how similar the controllers were for the Dreamcast and Xbox? I was thinking Microsoft ripped off the design, but this kinda explains it.
Bill Gates has built a multi-billion dollar company that's still going strong. You don't accomplish that by being stupid.Pendragon9 said:Well, this shows Bill Gates was not only greedy, but stupid as well.
Why? Well, he should've just let Sega games have online. They'd still be on the XBOX, and those would make him millions, maybe billions. It was pride that lost him the chance to make the XBOX nmuch better. but he's so rich, he didn't care. :/
Oh well. Can't change what could've been.
And today we see Sonic the Hodgehog, shooting his way through thousands of Zombie like aliens who hope to destroy the planet to save their own using the Master and Chaos emeralds, in SUPER HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS.Sporky111 said:Huh, that's pretty cool. I guess I can't blame Mr. Gates for wanting online play to be exclusive, but I think that letting them have their way would have been better in the long run. Microsoft would have had exclusive rights to Sega games.
Okawa died shortly after Sonic Adventures and was probably barely alive during the production of SA 2 Battle, which were really the last few good SEGA games to be released - or at least Sonic games - read between the lines.Nurb said:Lets face it, Sega has been making piss-poor decisions since the 32x, their only redeming act was making the dreamcast, but then started making stupid decisions again by abandoning it in favor of lame Sonic games and ruining the Total War series
Everyone used to call me paranoid when I pointed that out.Et3rnalLegend64 said:That sorta kinda makes sense. Did anyone realize how similar the controllers were for the Dreamcast and Xbox? I was thinking Microsoft ripped off the design, but this kinda explains it.
Aye, Rest its soul as it died long before its time. T'was fun at least!Sneaklemming said:Sigh... what a machine. It will go down as the most tragic piece of hardware ever built.
Oh, you did not just say that.FoolKiller said:1. Just to clarify. Jet Grind Radio is awesome. Jet Set Radio Future sucked.
Blue Stinger? Really? Okay. I used to have a Dreamcast long ago and lots of decent titles (Jet Grind Radio, Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue) but I was poor and a bit of an alky so I sold it. Worst mistake ever(hyperbole). Oddly I've still got the controllers and memory cards plus the Metal Gear Solid and Tekken 3 conversion discs (they played on the Dreamcast doncha know).adamje2326 said:Toy commander, Jet Set Radio and Blue Stinger could have lived a little longer
Mines on its way out - massive issues with getting the thing to recognise the disk lid is closed (current solution is to stack about 5 games on top of it).GloatingSwine said:Nowadays they just rerelease Dreamcast games on Xbox Live Arcade.
And I buy them because I am a shameless Sega whore, and my Dreamcast has gone to silicon heaven.
Unfortunately I think he did. As good as the original JSR was, I just think JSRF is about a billion times better.Lord Krunk said:Oh, you did not just say that.FoolKiller said:1. Just to clarify. Jet Grind Radio is awesome. Jet Set Radio Future sucked.
