XBOX Avatar New Items

The new avatar items are waaaaaay too expensive and my friends cant see me holding any of this junk except in my gamer pic but they can see the new gears clothes you buy????i honestly thought it would be really cool to have my friends see me playing around with some toys-guess ive been slightly ripped off grrr!any thoughts on the new avatar items???

I must admit I was waiting for a star wars shirt forever for my avater. so I spent a few extra points on it and got the republic shirt.

Friend of mine got the UNSC armor. I found that to be a bit much

its riddiculous to actually pay for them... i mean something like... you unlock stuff with gamerscore wud be pretty cool and actually give gamerscore a purpose.... making people pay like 400 microsoft points for an outfit is just riddiculous...

Paying for avatar items is just dumb. I will mock any and everyone wearing those Gears suits. I may forgive one or two bought items..I do want alot of them, I just dont want to PAY for them. And they get rediculous too. You could have a cheap arcade game which you can play and have fun with...or a lightsaber for your avatar. Well..the lightsaber is a bit more expensive actually.

I Just dont see the point in it, its besically the same but its 3-D and it can possibly be a 3-D you, providing you spend money, or a 3-D Game Hero, Providing you spend money.

I guess people like things to be in 3-D, to each his own.

They're not that bad when you have spare Microsoft Points you won't use on anything else.

MS points dont expire, so hang on to them until you next top up. It might make for an additional purchase. I refuse to buy any of the avatar items. They are not substantial enough to warrant paying money for. There are plenty of standard options to do what ever you need with the avatars. Its not like buying real clothes.

Many of the items are just Way too expensive, I mean for the Gears one, at least make the suit and helmet come together

Anyone notice that the price of a full suit is more then the second smallest amount you can buy? so you have to buy 1000 points to get a crappy suit. Well done Microsoft well done.

What she said. However, if the items and the avatars were more interactive, then maybe the items would be worth something like lightsaber sparring in the party chat. Other than that, a waste of microsoft points.

I dont hate Bioshock fans. Gears fans though like putting money-wasting targets on their backs. First lame gold ones, now lame bulky ones.

For my tastes I think that the add ons are too expensive, if they were something along the lines of say 80M$ points a pop then that wouldn't be so bad, but 400? It's a bit much, and yet people are still buying the things, I've seen friends with trainers that cost about 160 points just because they were by some stupid clothing company. And what's with the whole "we won't put in weaponry" thing by the developers and then they add a bloody lightsabre, but no GoW lancer or Fallout3 Deathclaw Gauntlet. I think it's the fact that eveyone has been badgering me to boycott L4D2 and MW2 because they're too expensive, and then they buy stuff like that that really gets me.

(although the Boishock props actually look quite nice in a way...)
