What about importing avatars into the game? You could have so that if your Avatar is equipped with different props, it does different fatalities, for example, if your avatar dude happened to have a lightsaber, the fatality could involve the chopping of various limbs or using the force to slam foes against the floor until they are nothing but pulp.

Just saying :p

What's the difference between Marcus Phoenix Fenix and Master Chief anyway? They're both just power-armoured, crappy one-liner spewing, macho tough guys.

Even though I'm a PS3 player I think the Arbiter from Halo would be the best XBox exclusive character to play as. At least he could use his energy sword for some serious mutilation. Although, he still wouldn't really fit with everyone else.
Try and say that to the fanboys though

Thane from ME2 would have been neat, or maybe Jack with her biotic powers. Alas.

No reason why Cheif couldn't use the energy sword.
ME2 isn't 360 exclusive

It could have been that Microsoft just didn't have a character suitable to hand over to NetherRealm that it was wiling to see stabbed, dismembered, dissolved by acid, chopped in half, burnt to a crisp, decapitated, impaled by spikes, or eaten by a dragon.
Milo?

reason....the moneys!!! But I think having master chief in it would have been crud. He doesn't fit the MK universe at all, it would seem cheap.

I don't see how the inclusion of an exclusive character would actually be bad for the game. Personally I thought Star Wars characters in Soul Calibur was stupid and annoying but it didn't stop me from buying the game. You just ignore the new characters.

From the videos I seen Kratos doesn't look like he's that good a character in the game. I'm still going to pick it up for my PS3 rather than my 360, though it's the D-pad that swung me towards picking it up on PS3 and not 360, having Kratos is a nice little bonus.

My first pick for an Xbox 360 exclusive would have to be horstachio from Viva Pinata. Instead of blood everywhere we'd all get Candy ^_^

I could've seen Marcus working out pretty well with his chainsaw. Although it would be really weird to see him moving so quickly. Doesn't seem like he can get his knees above his waist either.

Kratos is the perfect fit for MK, not sure anyone on Xbox is.
You could argue that Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden would fit in well, but the Xbox can't really hold it up over the PS3 as an exclusive as there's been a Ninja Gaiden game on the PS3.
I think MK has enough Ninjas lol.

Also The Xbox exclusive is using there Avatars in King of the Hill Mode, I can't say I'm jelous.

Does anyone remember DOA4? [a href="http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Nicole-458"]There was a spartan in that[/a], why wouldn't it work here?
I was thinking the exact same thing. But then again, Conker would have been sick as shit.

I want to brutally dismember Bill Gates and impale him on spikes.

By the way. What's this "Mortal Kombat" everyone's talking about? Is that some kind of game or something?

There already was an exclusive character for a fighting game on 360

Master Chi....err Nicole? Whatever the girl spartan was for DoA4 (read thru here and found her name)

and that didnt go well....(TBH I never even unlocked her or played enough to do so)

Umm....almost (90%) of the characters from Xbox are all gun toting space marines

They do own Lionhead tho...so the Hero from Fable (1/2/3) could have been an option?

he decapitates people....which seems to be = to Kratos

Not that I'm too bother by this news but couldn't an MK character not used for PS3 been used as an exclusive or maybe since NR Studios is Warner Bros owned, a DC character?

Predator should've got it. Although, they've got Sektor, he's pretty much the same thing.

Honestly, who really needs some exclusive character? They are always crap. Who ever played Yoda or Darth Vader in Soul Calibur? Nobody. It's all just about marketing. The game doesn't benefit in any way.

While I do agree to an extent, and am glad also we did not get a crossover character for the 360 version, I did enjoy the DC crossover game.

However, while DC had a good reason to want to keep their heroes from being too badly maimed, I.E. the general rule the DC's heroes do not kill people or villains, Microsoft has almost no excuse for not at least revealing who they were thinking of putting into the game.
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe doesn't deserve a lot of the crap that people give it. Sure, it wasn't the greatest Mortal Kombat game, but it was still a very decent fighting game. Besides, my favorite fatality has always been Scorpion's "Toasty!", and since MKvsDCU kept that pretty much the same as it usually is, I'm pretty okay with it.
Also, the fatalities you mentioned (which I cut to keep the size of the post down) were actually pretty good. I wonder why I didn't think of that.
Someone mentioned Carmine earlier? He's used to dying in horrible ways, and he could find a way to fit in somehow. Maybe in his fatalities he could kill the opponent brutally, but whatever pose or so he attempts to do afterwards causes him to accidentally kill himself as well. That would be hilarious.
