Not being a virgin is a great stress reliever. If you look at any individual involved in a war, and then give him or her a decent amount of sex, they'll be too busy to go to war. Ergo, sex prevents wars.Valiance said:How does being a virgin affect my demeanor?iJosh said:1. Over a period of time. With enough complaints.

answer to 1: If it was possible my cousin would have been banned alooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago. He freqently uses racial slurs much worse than what you posted, and hasnt been banned yet. In fact he is 64% preffered.bjj hero said:1: Does anyone here know anyone whos been banned/warned/suspended from XBL for racism etc? Do MS really act on complaints?
2: Why the hell would you get that worked up over a game?

Thats why I don't play team sports. But I don't think he'll be banned.Eldritch Warlord said:1. The system is automated based on accumulated complaints of similar nature. Someone I know was banned for maintaining a rep of less than 3 stars for 5 months.
2. They're too emotionally invested, this is common in sports too.
How? Do you expect them to hire a million people to monitor every word said over XBL? Maybe take every complaint seriously so all it takes is 1 bad rep to get you banned. That way everyone can get each other banned after getting bitter about losing a match.Programmed_For_Damage said:Microsoft really should upgrade the ban hammer; I don't think it is hefty enough. However as people are paying them for Xbox Live, I can see why they are reluctant to wield it with authority as they are effectively slitting their own throats if they start laying the smack down on (paid-up) haters. Still, something should be done.
Considering they can find that porn [http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/discoblog/2009/05/01/got-child-porn-stored-in-your-xbox-new-forensic-tool-will-find-it/] so easily hidden on your xbox, I'm pretty sure they can track crap that's being said/typed as well. It'd be nice if companies actually followed through with banning abusers, but then online would be a very lonely place, monetarily.squid5580 said:How? I have a question for the OP. Why did you not just simply mute him? Why is that never an option when you are dealing with a racist or a homophobe or a 12 yr old kid or a drunk fratboy? IMO MS has done the only thing they can to keep your virgin ears safe from them. Given you the power to mute them. If you don't like it you don't have to listen to it. I don't understand all this whining about MS not keeping you safe when they gave you all the stuff you will need to keep yourself safe from this kinda stuff.
I would suggest something inbetween the extreme you suggested and what is currently happening, as testified to by the people here. Sure don't ban someone because they got steamed at losing and decided to mouth off, but don't wait until the user has hundreds of complaints before doing something. My brother (who's 28 BTW, so not a whiny kid) got five abusive messages sent to him by one guy and Microsoft simply said "well if he keeps it up, let us know; otherwise ignore him and he'll go away". Sure enough he didn't keep it up and Microsofts common sense approach was understandible, but I couldn't help but wonder how much longer it would have to had continued before they intervened.squid5580 said:How? It's people like this that give Americans a bad name. I feel humiliated to be in the same country as that guy. Racism is such a problem with the youth here. I will assume he was a teenager, although it could just as easily had been a thirty-something year old. It's depressing to see this kind of stuff. In my experience, Americans seem to be a little louder, and more ruthless with the language. A while back, on CoD4, a group of English kids was playing, and the were making fun of the Twin Towers incident. I guess all of the world has their own douchebags.bjj hero said:When the game ended I was greeted by a not so friendly American with the following response:

Porn is there in your memory. You have to put it there so they can find it with a bit of code. How do you expect them to monitor every word spoken through a mic that leaves no trace. If I wrote you a message then you got me. If I call you a name over my mic how can you prove it? You are in a room with 15 other people who could all potentially be talking. How can any company monitor that kind of traffic?Lord_Jaroh said:Considering they can find that porn [http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/discoblog/2009/05/01/got-child-porn-stored-in-your-xbox-new-forensic-tool-will-find-it/] so easily hidden on your xbox, I'm pretty sure they can track crap that's being said/typed as well. And why doesn't muting become the first response? As soon as I hear the N word I start looking for the person who said it and mute them. Sure I might die in that time and wait the seconds to respawn. No big deal. So why doesn't everyone else do it? Think about how lonely thier $60 a year XBL will be after everyone starts muting these types of people.Programmed_For_Damage said:I would suggest something inbetween the extreme you suggested and what is currently happening, as testified to by the people here. There are some absolute fucktards on Live who think they can get away with stuff online because, unlike in the outside world where they'd get their arse handed to them if they said the same thing, there is little chance for reprisal.
Think about it as walking into a group of thousands of people and meeting them individually. You are gonna meet people you like and people you don't. I normally find if you treat them with a little respect you will get the same back. Some exceptions do apply.acer840 said:I don't get it, I've been on Live for about 5 months, and yet I've never had this problem, and I've been on many american servers. Is this just luck?
That is a LIE! Do you know how many politicians get sex regularly from spouse/prostitutes? Something is always around when you have that much of my tax money. That doesn't keep em from challenging foreign interests and governments with the might of the military industrial complex.Gitsnik said:Not being a virgin is a great stress reliever.
