And thus, maybe the corporate giants will finally become aware of why USER RATING SYSTEMS NEVER FUCKING WORK.
This is why metacritic is entirely unreliable, because the 'consumer' will fuck things up at their leisure.
I agree with this, mainly because fanboys, haters and such will rate the games either a straight 10/10 or 1/10. Middle ground is hard to find and most of the sensible well thought out reviews are lost under all the trash. I've even read some reviews which state "I haven't play the game but.... -insert torrents of lies, false information and wild mass guessing- ... so I give it 1/10" or "I've only played the demo (you know that demonstration that has the words "Not the final representation of the full product") but I can tell you it SUCKS!!!! 1/10.". Yeah too many people like that to take the used reviews on metacritic seriously, which is too bad for those legitimate user reviewers who've actually put some thought into there reviews.
As for the subject at hand, I've got a feeling most people are going to be pissed at this and I imagine many are going to flood to raise 'Cthulhu Saves the World' rating while destroying the Lacrosse game rating. I'm sort wandering of they deserve it.
