Was thinking the same thing but anything is better than nothing and considering the lack of demos for PC as of late I'm happy to get a bit of hands on. Was there a way to take those last 2 aliens alive? I heard the scientist say we should but when I checked my soldiers for a stun attack that I saw in a few previews I couldn't find it.Somethingfake said:I tell ya, demos are showing less and less game now. Near an hour of downloading xcom demo and it gave me two missions

I don't think you can take them alive. For later on in the game I think.toomuchnothing said:Was thinking the same thing but anything is better than nothing and considering the lack of demos for PC as of late I'm happy to get a bit of hands on. On the store page for Enemy Unknown it now says that the game will unlock October 11th instead of the 9th like it used to, hope it's some kind of error...
If you live anywhere else, you can pick it up after the 11th so that it doesn't impact the work-week, like normal folks.

What's it trying to tell me?
I watched most of the gameplay videos and it was torture watching them playing and losing men with crappy tactics. I always said I could do better and now I have a chance to prove it so I would say the demo is definetly worth it.CCountZero said:Be advised, if you've already seen the hour-long gameplay demonstrations, this demo is hardly worth your time.
One, honestly kinda annoying, tutorial mission, and a choice of two different others after that.
Plus, you get to meet some of the home-base people who talk to you a bit.
The missions are easy, I will assume that it's locked to Easy or Normal difficulty.
If you have no idea how the game plays, then by all means, try it out.
But otherwise, it's mostly just a waste of time.
Demo wasn't worth the 40 minutes of download time though. Much too short, with zero new information to people who have kept an eye on the game over the last month or two.
Disclaimer: Yes, I already preordered it, and I fully expect to love the actual game.
Honestly, the game is locked to baby-mode. It's practically impossible to fail.6SteW6 said:I watched most of the gameplay videos and it was torture watching them playing and losing men with crappy tactics.
