I wonder what the "male to female ratio" will be once it opens up. Of all things I'm most curious about, it's that.

Damnit it doesn't matter, for all of the people who go there - video tape it and show us. Unless it is so awesome that we just start crying because we cannot go.

Good name, good concept, good luck gettin in as I guess it will constantly full, but then that's good business.

Shame about the location. Nothing against Brisbane, but as a demographic, gamers from Brisbane are less than, well virtually everywhere else.
Someone's never been to Ireland.

They'd better have bloody Timesplitters.

And I mean the original. With dual-wielding miniguns and 4 billion maps.
You sir get a metaphorical cookie. Timesplitters is awesome.

I would go there. I would drink there. And I live in the US and don't drink at all. That's how on board I am for this.

I remember seeing this thing on TV where this guy cnstructed an old-style arcade box for his PS2, so he could play the PS2 games and feel like he was playing an arcade type of deal. I would be interested to see this type of thing here. :D

Just how much will those snacks and drinks cost I wonder?

YOu've all seen that commercial where sports wings are increased by a factor of 5 as numbers keep flying out from all the extra stuff they add inside their restaurant. I would probably understand that the events side of things will be their bread and butter.

That's great.
We need something like that in NYC; if you sell games, hold conferences, and events there you might even be able to afford the rent.

In the best case scenario, it'd become some kind of beatnik revolutionary location where great games are conceived by some of the finest patrons in the gaming world.

More likely scenario, it'll be a humdrum establishment cursed with Yahtzee's friends having to shoe fanboys out of the floorboards with a broom every day at closing time.
And in the worst scenario the place may be over-run by violent fanboys and Yahtzee and Pals will have to fire old western style guns wildly into the air to get them to leave.
I'm sorry, it's just weird how your definition of 'worst' and my definition of 'most badass' are exactly the same thing! XD

So it's up and running?

I wonder if it would be possible to propel Ireland to somewhere in the region of Brisbane but not right on top of it.

It's an excellent idea, one that should be emulated. If I ever open a pub I'm doing this.

Edit: If it turns into a pub chain, have the third one in Galway in Ireland. Obviously the second one would be in the Uk.

I prefer Future Perfect, with Like a Robot and the Monkey Gun. Good times...
Well, they're all multiplayer masterpieces.

The original's missions, however, would be perfect for an arcade style deal. If they don't find a way to remove easy mode however nobody would touch it with a ten foot barge pole.

Well, and here I was thinking I was loyal to Canada, but after reading / watching this I think I'm ready to completely forget about my "homeland" and move there... Really, just gotta find a nice place to live and I would so go there.

I hope it works out. Australia is becoming more strict every day on what its citizens can and cant do, especially with video games. Good luck to Yahtzee.

Well, now I want to live in Australia. The closest thing you get here is an internet cafe. Wahoo?
Think your self lucky down where i live we have only 2 of those which are on the side of a computer shop and they dont advertise that they have an internet cafe at all.

Sounds like fun could get full real quick though make sure you pre order your night in the mana bar :p
Well, I still never use 'em since I have large amounts of single and multiplayer games, and access to the internet at nearly all times.

Good luck with that. I can't expect it'll go over too well because consoles tend to break quite easily under these conditions. There's a local gaming cafe where I live that refuses to have anything other than computers because the consoles were all breaking too easily.

So... Good luck with that.

May your enterprise meet with success, brother gamers of Australia. I traditionaly offer blessings for this sort of thing; wisdom, might, or kings?

More seriously though; When it comes time to vote Attkinson out this'll make a great campaign HQ.
