To be honest, I think I would wait to see if this book hits libraries at anytime. Then I wouldn't have to pay if it somehow does end up as a disappointment.

From what I've read though, this book does look interesting. Seeing as it's a snippet of chapter two, then of course your not gonna know what's going on, because half of the things (I.E. main character, setting, plot, etcetera, etcetera) have probably already been established.

All in all, it looks like something that I could enjoy reading. Even if I'm not huge on mumorpager's.

Soo, it's not as bad as I thought. That's all.

I've read a lot of books: Charles Dickens, Shakespeare, but also Harry Poter and Twilight (I wanted to have asolid opinion), but this is not going to change the world.

I don't get all the references, and, to reference the writer, there's a fine line between atmospheric pacing and having bugger all happening. I know, chapter 2, and no big spoils in the preview, but still, the preview is suposed to make me care.

In short, I will get it. Probably from the library though.

Screw you, its a satire of mmo's which goes about it by making the story that one of the npc's, Jim, has become self aware as have many others. Anyone who has played an mmo will understad the humor involved. if its not your cup of tea then get the hell out of the tea party.

I liked it, and I already ordered it a month back. Hope it comes soon.

Oh, no. See I'm not saying that I don't understand it. I'm saying that it's bad. As in poorly written. Glad that I could clear this up.

I'm not going to buy it, though I must confess to being curious how you're expecting to keep the "LOL IT'S AN MMORPG GET IT OLOLOL IT'S SO UNREALISTIC" thing up for an entire book if it gets boring after just these few pages...

Aww, thanks for the preview. I really like it, it's very genre-savvy and it has that British absurdist humor thing. What are the chances I can find it at my local bookstore in Eastern Europe? ._. Next to none?

It wasn't that bad... Well actually i liked it. I don't think many people who haven't had any experiences with MMOs would get it, or find it particularly interesting. But yeah, if you ever tried to find your own place in an MMO, you'd get something like this. I hope to get it when it comes out.

There are three things that makes me want to buy this:

1. The premise of this book is interesting.
2. I love Terry Pratchett, so something like Terry Pratchett is a good thing for me to start with.
3. I will buy this just because it's Yahtzee who wrote it. I'm a little fanboy^^

It's not really bad, as far as I know. Sure, might not be Shakespeare, Tolkien or ......well, Pratchett, but that doesn't mean it will be a bad story.
It will definitely not be amazing or all new (I drew a little comparison between Jim and Windle Poons from Pratchett's "Reaper Man" pretty early on), but it will certainly be a good time reading it.
I do have some suspicions, but it would be wrong to just claim on the spot that it will be a bad book since this is just a tiny excerpt from the whole novel (it would be as bad as judging a book by it's cover).
Don't get too high hopes about this since this is written by Yahtzee, who is best in his reviews, but at least have SOME hopes about it.

To sum it up: Will buy, but no high expectations.

It's like Pratchett, but with worse writing, maybe not as funny and I'm pretty sure there won't be as much character development. Having said that, it was a very good effort, and a fun read, though I probably won't buy it.

I'm not reading this, since I already pre-ordered the book and don't want to spoil it...

Although just an observation from looking at the book cover, didn't Looking For Group have a warlock with a rabbit for a companion?
