Am I the only one shocked that Street Fighter IV is going to be available for play in a bar owned by Yahtzee? It confounds me.
I was more shocked with the idea of Wii Sports. I thought he hated the Wii with a passion.

I don't know, as much as I like video games this sounds a little too nerdy for me. I wish him the best of luck though

You sure this isn't some devious ploy by Yahtzee to kill of Atkinson?

Either way, great idea. Just a shame that the land of Oz is a bit too far for a night out...

Finally, I'll be able to complete my studies on how intoxication affects game-playing!

Seriously, this is just about the only game-related news that would make me want to reside in Australia.

Honestly, it doesn't seem all that awesome.

Pay money for the ability to drink booze and play games with random strangers.
I know you aussies have some issues online but this is one hell of a "work around".

In San Luis Obispo, CA, there was a place called "The Graduate" which catered to Cal Poly students, mainly, on the outskirts of town. It had a decent bar but enough of a dining area that it was good for families, and then a lot of arcade games and pool tables. We all liked it, I had one birthday party there, and it was always a festive time anytime we went. I recall it closed years ago, and I'm guessing it faded as arcade games lost their novelty. Anyway it effectively mixed games with a bar-like atmosphere while still keeping it accessible to all including my family and that is saying something.

Although alot of Yahtzee's fans are from places other than Australia almost all of Matt and Yug's fans are from Australia and Yahtzee has a pretty huge following over here.

Brisbane is also the Gaming/Game Development Capital of Australia.

I wish he lived California. A dude can dream though. A dude can dream. :(
If it were in California, the interest rates, tax, and property values would probably make the venture too expensive to carry on at all.

Sure, Australia has all the gaming bars, but if you need a gay bar, you know where to go ;)

Just because he doesn't like fighting games doesn't mean he doesn't know other people like fighting games. Give the man some credit.

I don't drink and I don't imagine I'll find myself in Austrailia in the next... ever, but still, I wish you all the luck, Mr. Croshaw. May yours be a classy, fun environment- the Cheers of Austrailian gaming and pubbing!

I know many Aussies personally who watch him.

Anyway, I'll probably be there. I don't usually go to the valley or bars, but this looks pretty awesome. Drinking+Competitive video gaming = win.

Oh it's not that bad, when you get here they give you a pill with the venom serum in it. you'll feel sick for a day or two and then it won't matter if you get bitten.
