I think it depends on what you classify as "fans" for example you have the tattoo extremist who takes Yahtzee's videos as law and the "I check his videos every once in awhile" fan.
Being the latter I can say its never fun to look at the comments section for his stuff, and I just dont like him as a reviewers, to put it bluntly hes horrible at real reviews, but hes amazing at making them hilarious and great fun to watch, with tid-bits of half truths and loads of over exaggeration.
still hes a good performer and I respect that, though i wouldnt be surprised if he really was a jerk -_-, I mean he himself says fans are just annoying, so at least hes being consistent

Judging by Yahtzee's general performance on message boards, I'd say that there's more to it than being baffled. 
The man has a certain knack for rubbing people the wrong way for his personal enjoyment and perhaps that of onlookers.

Dang it, with yahtzee being baffled and Max being 'misunderstood' I have lost both of my comparisons for how well my assholishness level is progressing.
Like Eminem and Slim Shady, one is the nice one who takes care of people and the other one is a giant pain in the butt who only enjoys sexual refrences and liqour(sp)thousandfaces said:

Stop trying to play off your mean side Yahtzee, we all know you like us with warm fuzzles really. Then again i'm not someone who would stalk you... I can understand the ire there.

I like to think I wouldn't gush like a fanboy/girl if I met yahtzee... I didn't when I met Unearth. Also, tattoo's seem excessive, but hey, I'm planning on getting full sleeves in homage to heavy metal. Trust me, I will not regret it, and if you suggest that I may one day outgrow metal I will hunt you down.

Hey a jerk who doesn't think he's a jerk and has a bunch of friends who swear he's not a jerk. This is entirely something never experience by human kind. Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw again delights and amazes us with his fucking insight into the world at large. He's not a jerk at all!
