Will this be regular occurrence in ZP? I don't think so there aren't that many games that share the same level of rivalry as inFamous and Prototype. So I dough Yahtzee will hold such a competition again.The_root_of_all_evil said:The problem here is though that the bar has been set.
Is this going to become a regular thing?
Pretty sure this has more to do with both developers having great senses of humor than with Yahtzee's overwhelming persuasive power.samaritan.squirrel said:If he can convince game developers to do this, what else could he do?
Persuasive power. Think about it. InFamous and Prototype were released to coincide because they were de-facto 'rival games'. Hence Prototype being so unpolished and lacklustre.Susan Arendt said:Pretty sure this has more to do with both developers having great senses of humor than with Yahtzee's overwhelming persuasive power.samaritan.squirrel said:If he can convince game developers to do this, what else could he do?
I could not agree more, this is sheer brilliance and InFamous is the rightious winner. The cheeky face Alex had did it. I can't believe they actually did this, it's fantastic. I now need a PS3 with InFamous.NezumiiroKitsune said:Absolute, undeniable, Grade A, Over 9000 internets of win.
I think they were competing for 2 different things entirely. Prototype went for humor, making a pale, flabby, and horrifically exposed Cole, while inFamous went for a teasingly cute hermaphroditic Alex...with male face intact.dogstile said:oh god, yahtzee, i'm so glad you did this right now
on a note, is it just me who thought that prototypes devs made something more disturbing, and infamous devs made something more attractive?
You keep contradicting yourself it's not even funny.doctorjackal777 said:I surprised they not only actually made the pictures but that they actually watched your review and took it seriously. 'Oh not that guy with a hat reviewed us and couldn't decided if we were better than that other game, lets pander to his desire to get a non existent prize.' Seriously I doubt Zero Punctuation actually helps or hinders anyone's games sales, other than a few people who were curious, like I bought Saints Row, because he said it was so much better than GTA, and it was but never mind. Zero Punctuation to me has always been a humorous little someone showing one mans opinions regarding the games he plays and it certainly gets this site more traffic, but I've never considered them to be serious review that would actually mean anything. He's like the AVGN or TGWTG, entertainers who enjoy ragging on something or other but who's opinions don't really affect the industry in which they review.
Let's all give 'em a big round of applause for being such great sports and playing along then!Susan Arendt said:Pretty sure this has more to do with both developers having great senses of humor than with Yahtzee's overwhelming persuasive power.samaritan.squirrel said:If he can convince game developers to do this, what else could he do?
no my opinion must be right due to my ignorance!Indigo_Dingo said:...no, that means that inFAMOUS is still the better game, as you have no reason to doubt his opinion.Archaon6044 said:wait this actually HAPPENED? cor!
it is nice to see designers taking this much interest.
though i still think Prototype is better, simply because it's the only on i've played
Okay people, if you haven't played both, you can't disagree with him. I haven't played both, but seeing as I agree with him, thats alright.
